51 Air Bag problem of the 2007 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

The entire dash of my vehicle is covered with bubbles because of an inferior product in production. These become worse every summer because of the heat and the dash becomes a gooey mess. How can I be sure that the airbag will deploy or deploy correctly when this mess is all over it? I was never made aware of any recall, but when contacting the company was told it was past deadline and they would do nothing. I want to be sure that if the airbag is needed, that it will work correctly.

52 Air Bag problem of the 2003 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

The recall on the air bags has kept me from being able take my kids to their events, take prospects/clients out and when I called infinity of charlotte, nc-where I purchased the car they would not offer me a rental until fixed. Instead they offered to replace the air bag with the exact same model air bag. The service department rep said there was only a 1% chance the bags would deploy spraying shrapnel throughout the cabin. There have been 15 deaths already and I would never risk someone being killed or disfigured. I unfortunately don't have a rental car so I risk it everyday. Apparently the other models all got a replacement vehicle from enterprise rental car but not the 2003 Fx35.

53 Air Bag problem of the 2003 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 05/31/2016

Takata recall the recall was issued on this car in may 2016, and the dealerships still do not have parts as of today, 10/21/2016. We are now being told that the parts will not be here before mid to end of November. Customers are being told that it is safe to still drive the car, as long as we refrain from anyone being in the front seat. However, this is not feasible if you only have one car, and multiple family members. I am aware that many cars have been affected by this recall, but I do believe that extreme urgency must be given to the oldest model year cars that are most at risk, as in this case. I reached out to Infinitii customer affairs tody, and after much protesting on my part, they agreed to reach out to an Infiniti retailer and call me back in a week, in hopes of getting a loaner vehicle. I want to stree that we have made due with another vehicle unitl now, but at some point the burden cannot be placed on the customer. They should be giving loaner vehicles to those customers that have high risk older model cars. Unfortunately, there was news of another person being killed yesterday in California as a result of the airbag issue. This person also had an older model car. I am sure this customer was also advised that it was safe to drive the car, as I was told numerous times prior. However, there must be some accountability on the part of the car maker to provide contingency plans for customers at high risk, such as car models ten years or older. I am certain many people have emailed in, but I hope that this reaches someone who can understand the importance of some sort of contingency plan to be given to customers like myself with 2003 model car, with no parts in sight till at least end of next month. What options do we have as customers? thank you for your time.

68 Air Bag problem of the 2008 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 12/11/2015

In Feb 2016 when I saw the recall on the news for airbags, I called to see if the Infiniti Fx35 2008 was recalled. I was told no recall the truck is fine. Now in July 2016 I receive a letter for a passenger airbag recall. Do you know if the driver airbag is being investigated? I'm curious to know, because my mom was killed in an auto accident, while she was driving the truck in Dec. 2015. She had injury to her face, neck and more. What makes the passenger airbag inflate? is it normal for the driver seat to come off the track? thank you for you attention to this matter.

69 Air Bag problem of the 2005 Infiniti FX35

70 Air Bag problem of the 2005 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 06/16/2015

I have not experienced any problems with the airbag and my VIN has not been specifically identified for the takata recall. That though is the issue. In view of the inifinti recall of similar model cars in high humidity states, and NHTSA's call for a full recall of the takata airbags, as well as Toyota, gm & Honda's recent expansion of the recall, I do not understand why Infiniti has not taken similar additional action. I live in virginia - an area of high humidity for at least 3 months per year. A recent death occurred to a virginia resident related to the airbags. I drive to florida several timaes a year spending as many as 4-6 weeks there annually. It seems quite reckless for the company not to be acting on this recall. As it stands I have been reluctant to drive the vehicle for my safety and that of my passengers, especially since toyata is advising consumers to have the airbag disabled and post warning not to sit in the passenger side. While I could do a similar thing until Infiniti wakes up and acts, I cannot see why I should have to absorb the cost for it. Please help if you can. I appredciate the opportunity to vent regarding this issue.
