My dashboard started to bubble 2 summers ago and I immediately contacted infinity. They told me that the company sent me a notice that this was an issue in specific models and would replace the dashboard. I did not receive any notice and when I called in 2014 the time allowed had expired. Infinity would not replace my dashboard. Now the dashboard is completely covered with bumps from faulty materials (glue, leather, etc. ). The value of my vehicle is at least $1000-1500 less due to this flaw. I would like to file a complaint against infinity for using inferior materials and not standing by their product.

The dashboard has bubbled and is very hot to the touch. I have been trying for years to get this replaced. I want to start a class action suit. I see many cars with the same issue.
Door actuators work intermittent sometimes they don't work at all . Some days one door works the others don't . Could be a safety issue with child on board.

While living in maryland I purchased a used 2004 Fx35. Everything seemed fine until we experienced warm weather, the dashboard is sticky. You can leave finger impressions and pieces of it will come off on your hand when you try to clean it. Now I live in florida and the melting has gotten worst. The entire dashboard is sticky and the glare when driving has gotten worst. At times you can not see objects or people walking in a crosswalk. Its very dangerous.
Vehicle locks do not work correctly. Very inconsistant. Cannot open them , and cannot close them using the electronic locking system. This is a safety hazard to my six year old who sits in the back.

I brought a 2004 Infiniti Fx35 in 2010 and I love this SUV but the only issue I have is the dashboard bubbled up like it had blisters. I called an Infiniti dealer in alexandria virginia to see if there had been a recall on the dashboard and I talk to mr. Kent and he told me yes and he is willing to change the dashboard if I get approval from Infiniti consumer affairs. April 8, 2013, I called and talked to a rep name dewand and explain that my dashboard have bubbled up like it had blisters and she told me she will get back with me in 2 days. When she got back with me I was very unhappy with the response she gave that they will not replace the dashboard. I call back left a message asking dewand please send me an email or send me a letter explaining why. This is Infiniti e-mail response. Thank you for allowing us an opportunity to review your concerns regarding your 2004 fx Infiniti. Infiniti realizes situations may occur with your Infiniti vehicle that, unfortunately, fall outside of the parameters of the new vehicle limited warranty provided with your vehicle. As a company interested in winning lifetime customers, Infiniti apologizes for any inconvenience you may have experienced, and we are pleased you took the time to contact us regarding the situation. ¿Infiniti carefully considered your request during a review of all of the available facts pertaining to your specific situation. Infiniti is unable to offer financial assistance with the repair of the dashboard due to the vehicle being outside of the new vehicle limited warranty. We realize this may not be the answer you were looking for, but we hope that you understand our position. I never received a warranty letter from Infiniti at all. I though Infiniti stand by their brand to ensure the safety and performance of their vehicles. I want to know who to contact to get this matter resolved. Thank you.
Infiniti will not stand behind bubbling dashboards--no recall. The adhesives used may be the problem after several years, when the dash begins to bubble and melt. Infiniti extended the warranty only, and many owners are past that time frame. The concern is not just the $1200 cost, but safety concerns for breathing fumes. There are many reports online.
The underneath of the car is completely rusted. Specifically the exhaust system and all of the underneath cover. There was a recall on or about 2009, it was supposedly replaced but the underneath is complete rotted. Pieces have become loose and fallen off.
Since two years my dashboard started foaming with air bubbles,at the beginning it was small few air bubbles but now it is spreading all over the dashboard. I have never seen this kind of defect. I don't even know whether it is healthy to drive this kind of car. Contacted infinity and bbb with negative response. The response was since it is over 8 years they will not replace it. If it is acknowledged that it is a defect why the company gets away with such an answer. In addition to this defect my four door locks are not working especially in hot climate. Complained about it to the dealer they wanted a $2000 charge. I am not complaining about wear and tear , it is about defect. All I was asking them was to stand by their product. I drove Toyota camry for 13 years ,never saw this kind of defect.
The dashboard of my 2005 Fx35 SUV melted from the radiation internally. Was there a recall that I had missed?.
How many letters and complaints across north America must there be before a recall on defective door lock accuators becomes a reality? at first the locks only failed on very warm / hot days and mostly just the front passenger side and the problem spread to the drivers door the one of the back doors and to the other back door. Infiniti !!! listen up !!! you made a bad door lock accuator design and it is way past time to admit it and start replacing tens and tens of thousands of nice folks door locks. Just google it for a few and will find out what we are talking about. I am glad I don't have kids in the back seat. I cannot open the car door for my date. I have to hold the remote button until the windows roll down so I can reach inside and unlock my doors. I have to lock them all by hand then set the alarm. I have owned six infinit's. I will not own a 7th if you don't fix my locks on your dime.
Infiniti dashboard bubbling excessively causing glare while driving. I just received my third denial to my third written request to Infiniti consumer affairs to replace my bubbling dashboard. I initially contacted the dealer in 2012 when I heard about a dashboard recall. I was informed my specific vehicle was not part of the recall. I was also told about a warranty extension that may have cared for the issue; however, both the initial and extended warranty had expired at that point. I was never informed of a recall or a warranty extension by Infiniti. Each time I requested replacement, Infiniti responded promptly via phone - nothing was provided in writing. Each time, the representative was polite and professional and responded with the same script - they were sorry there was nothing they could do and they realized this was not the outcome I was hoping for. My contention is that the dashboard and materials are defective and Infiniti should take ownership of this issue and fix it at their expense. Obviously, it was a known issue since there was a recall associated with the dashboards bubbling. Why my vehicle was excluded by the recall is a mystery to me. To confuse the issue, they pointed to the mileage of my vehicle and the fact that I did not have the vehicle serviced at the dealer after the original warranty had expired. Neither point should be relevant to a non-wear-and-tear item like a dashboard. At this point, the bubbling and deterioration is so bad that it has become a safety issue. There is now a glare that when driving in bright and sunny conditions that negatively impacts forward vision. I am requesting assistance to get Infiniti to take responsibility for their product and have them replace the defective dashboard at their expense. As stated, this is now a safety concern that impacts not only my vehicle, but others on the road.
My 2006 Infiniti dashboard started to develop bubbles approximately 4 years ago. They have progressively gotten worse over time. I just found out that Infiniti extended the warranty to 8 years but I was never notified by them or the local dealership. In essence they were hiding the fact that they offered a no charge fix. This is a manufacturing problem that could affect the deployment of the passenger airbag since that is the area involved. My warranty expired 6 months ago and since I was never notified I am now left to pay for the fix on my own. Infiniti USA and my local dealership are unwilling to cover the expense of the repair.

Bubbling/sticky dashboard/melting dashboard.
My dashboard has melted and is very sticky. I have contacted swell infinity but have not gotten a response. I really can't drive it during the day because of the glare! thank you for your assistance in this matter. God bless.
The dashboard has extensive bubbling. The bubbling started about 4 years after purchasing, was told by dealership that nothing could be done about problem because car was out of warranty. Then several years later when we took the car to the dealership they mentioned that an extended warranty had been issued. Dilemma the car was now outside this period as well and we never received notice of extended warranty. Tried to work with Nissan/Infiniti to no avail. Noticed in paper an article dated 5/24/2014 that jury orders Nissan to pay damages for faulty dashboard on Infiniti's 2003-2008 model Fx35. Called Nissan/Infiniti about the dashboard again. Still nothing. Please note that the dashboard bubbling problem is due to inferior glue. Please note as incident date is required I picked a date not necessarily the first date we noticed the problem.
Infiniti dashboard bubbling excessively causing glare while driving. Apparently there was a recall for this issue but my dealer never told me. I am the original owner and I was taking my car to the dealer for maintenance and repairs up until 2011 and the deal never told me there was a recall. No apparently the recall is expired or something and is not covered. I don't understand how a recall can expire if its an safety issue and how a deal can get away without notifying their clients.
Door locks do not open or close by using the remote controls.
Dashboard bubbling and melting, glare from sun dangerous.
Ok this complaint is about the melting dashboard on mi vehicle is not only dangerous to drive when the sun is in front of you because of the glare but cosmetically looks disgusting, every time someone gets in my car asks me if my car has some kind of deceased or they even mention chickenpox as a joke. I contacted Infiniti about the issue end they told me that I just missed the recall and they couldn't do anything about it. Well the problem is still there and is a factory defect that not only me but thousands has the same problem. I ask you for your help to see if this problem could be resolved. I heard that Mazda has recall all their defective dashboard and I think that every other company such as luxury Infiniti should stand behind their product. I am a family man with two kids 12 and 7 and I would hate to think that something can happened while driving with this dashboard that maximizes the glare due to its condition. I took a few pictures to show you the glare and the defect. Also this happened in new york where I reside and every summer it gets worst and worst.
Dashboard: over a 3 and a half year period of owning my vehicle, my dash has recently (and quickly) began to bubble. The dealership has told me that this is happening to all Infiniti fx vehicles with black interior. I never used cleaners with checmicals that could have caused the damage. It just happened. I also am out of warranty based on mileage not years. Driver side door actuator: my actuator has failed I do not know if that is common.
Does Infiniti can do something about the bubbling dash? ibought the car on September 2016.
