1 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2010 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 05/30/2015

On Saturday, may 30, 2015, I experienced three anomalies with my Fx35, during two cycles (engine off). The weather was fair, with partly cloudy skies and a temperatures in the high seventies. At about 10am, when the vehicle was started in the garage, it had an unusually high rpm which I noticed as it was shifted into drive so I could pull out. I always back my vehicle into the garage, so it lunged forward with a strong jerk. Although I thought this was odd, I headed to costco in sterling va and had no further problems for the time being. After shopping at costco, I started the vehicle at around 11:15am and headed home on route 7 in sterling virginia. While approaching the red traffic light in front of the nova campus, I applied the brake. There were autos in all four lanes, several deep, in front of the vehicle. As I was perhaps 10 car lengths away and decelerating, the vehicle engine began to increase in rpm. I had to use my left foot and right foot to apply maximum pressure to the brake pedal and even then, the vehicle was not beginning to slow down. With less than 3 car lengths left to go, I had the good sense to put the gear shifter into neutral. At that point the tachometer raced to 9,000 while the vehicle came to an abrupt stop, with about 5 feet to go behind the car in front. I punched the accelerator pedal while still in neutral, and this stopped the engine racing. I thought to proceed home anyway. I put the transmission into drive and proceeded slowly with the vehicle down a busy route 7 toward mclean. A mile and a half later, while coming into another intersection, I experienced the same unintended vehicle acceleration. Again I put the transmission into neutral to avoid the likelihood of an accident. Again, I punched the accelerator pedal while the vehicle was still in neutral, and this stopped the engine racing.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2008 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 01/24/2010

On 01/24/08 I was driving at normal speed and went to step on the gas pedal of my infinity Fx35 2008 when all of sudden the pedal got stuck,or it got stuck btw the mat, and causing the vehicle accelerate, at much faster speed, I had lost total control of my vehicle, it was only matter of seconds that I crashed into few safety poles, sign, & guard rail, I almost lost my life ,thank god I didn't hit any other cars or pedestrian. I do have the original mats that came with vehicle & after market rubber mats on top of the fabric mats. It did happen once, few months ago but I was able hit the gas pedal and it release the pedal. I pull over to check why this happen, and check the mats, I couldn't find the problem. I also know there was recall on the Toyota about a simulator problem, I believe that my infinity Fx35 & the Toyota model are made in japan.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2006 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 01/15/2010

Seat (drivers) adjustment/ movement (back & forth) has a scary kink/twist/wiggle. I fear that the seat may become dislodged from it's rail/track, while driving. Also, the passenger side front electric window lift does not close, but reopens about 2-inches when the window lift button is released.

6 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2007 Infiniti FX35

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

Infiniti has a recall for the speedometer and odometer. The speedometer reads 3 to 5 miles per/hr more than what the SUV is really going. The odometer reads 3% to 4% more miles driven than it should be. I brought the SUV in for the recall. The speedometer and odometer were corrected. But now the cruse control is reading 3 miles per/hr faster than what the speedometer is registering. Infiniti told me this was in range. This is crap!.
