One problem related to engine knocking noise has been reported for the 2005 Infiniti G35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I bought a 2005 Infiniti G35 last year and did not know about the oil consumption defect that the G35 has. I recently developed a knocking sound in the engine and when I checked the oil I noticed the engine was low on oil. I filled the car up with the 2 quarts of oil that was missing. I checked the engine, engine bay and also under the car to see if there was an oil leak present but there wasn't any. A friend of mine told me about the oil consumption that the car is known to have and to my surprise my car was consuming a quart of oil ever 500 miles.
