One problem related to car accelerates on its own has been reported for the 2006 Infiniti G35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Service engine soon light came on and the car suddenly accelerated by itself from 40 mph to 55 mph without me touching any pedal. I had to push the brakes hard to get the car under control. Once I approached stop sign the car would not pick up the acceleration even when I am trying to accelerate, it picks up really slowly. I am going to take it to dealer tomorrow and if it is a manufactures defect I am going to consumer court to solve the issue. I was really terrified driving the car.
