Four problems related to vehicle speed control have been reported for the 2006 Infiniti G35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1. Car was hard to stop when braking for a light 2. Car accelerated on is own when entering driveway had to slam on brakes 3. Checked around the pedals for any thing that may have caused this. Nothing was found so I took the car for a test drive. And when I slowed on my street prior to turning into my driveway the car took off on it's own again. I had to put the car in neutral to stop it. When I did the engine redlined by itself.

The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti G35 sedan. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently. The driver swerved and crashed into a tree. The driver sustained major injuries to her ribs, sternum, and had stitches in her knee. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a junk yard. An automotive engineer inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that there was substantial front end damage, including the engine compartment, caused by the failure of the electronic throttle control system.
