Gasoline Fuel System Problems of Infiniti G35

1. Car was hard to stop when braking for a light 2. Car accelerated on is own when entering driveway had to slam on brakes 3. Checked around the pedals for any thing that may have caused this. Nothing was found so I took the car for a test drive. And when I slowed on my street prior to turning into my driveway the car took off on it's own again. I had to put the car in neutral to stop it. When I did the engine redlined by itself.

2004 Infiniti G35x. Consumer states problem with vehicle brakes the consumer also stated the hood hinge was corroded, there were evop issues, and a fuel valve leak which caused difficulty in not being able to re-fuel the vehicle to its capacity.

The fuel gauge on my Infiniti G35 was giving poor readings on the car and would not fill up all the way. It was impossible to tell how much fuel I had left and I ended up running out of gas on the highway. I have researched this problem and there are a lot of other G35's with very similar problems. I only have 60,000 miles on the car, so this is obviously a defective part made through Nissan. There is a TSB but they charge around $400 to fix it all when it is a defective, unsafe part.

It is a serious matter, the meter sometimes reads full but is actually close to empty. This can lead to an engine shut-off on interstate and expressways and pose as a major hazard to me and other drivers. At 55k miles, car is refusing to accept any more than 6 gallons of gas. Looked it up and there are four TSB's on it but no recalls. Further research indicates that it is a known problem with the 2005 G35 sedans. Called Infiniti in austin and was told "OH yeah, we've seen that problem a lot. It's about $900 to fix it. " ridiculous that an obvious flaw with the car, occurring nationwide has not been recalled.

Fuel gauge on infinity G35 coupe (04) always incorrect. Pumping fuel into the car also difficult as it usually doesn't allow a full fill up.

My Infiniti had complete transmission failure at only 1,800 miles. Infiniti is in the process of replacing the entire transmission and I have had the car only 2 months. After just one week, the car had problems starting, so they had to replace the entire fuel system.
