Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2009 Infiniti G37

Just like the 2008, my 2009 g7 coupe passenger side airbag sensor is defective and no longer works. I called Infiniti but was told that my 2009 did not qualify. They want over $4000 to replace the bottom cushion (without labor). $4000!!!! 2008 Infiniti G37 air bags recall 08v521000. Occupant classification system (OCS) control units. A varistor in the OCS control unit located in the passenger seat cushion may have been manufactured out of specification. Under certain conditions, this could cause an interruption of signal between the OCS and the air bag control unit (acu).

The passenger side airbag sensor is faulty. It says that the airbag is off even when someone is occupying the passenger seat. Infiniti quoted $7,000. 00 to repair the sensor. The entire seat needs to be replaced. This is obviously a manufacturers defect.
