Three problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 2010 Infiniti G37. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Passenger seat sensor has failed, causing the system to be inoperative. Based on research, this is a common problem which was addressed on some Nissan/Infiniti models, but not the G37 convertible. The cost to repair is prohibitive at $9000.
Faulty passenger airbag sensor. This is a huge safety concern, and having to pay $6000 to fix it is just ridiculous.
The passenger airbag is disabled when an adult is sitting in the seat. The light comes on noting that it is disabled and then turns off. This happens multiple times. The adult weighs enough to trigger that sensor to not disable the airbag. This is a serious fault in the sensor and should be recalled immediately.
