2013 Infiniti G37. Consumer writes in regards to illuminated air bag light. The consumer stated a local mechanic advised the sensor located inside the passenger seat malfunctioned. The entire passenger side seat needed to be replaced at the expense of the owner.
Passenger airbag sensor failed and results in a $7000 fix. Their solution to the problem is a brand new seat. My son exited the vehicle and the airbag light started blinking and now doesn't stop, which means the airbag isn't on. Also, one of the motors responsible for a flap which folds the top down has failed, making the top stop halfway down. The convertible top has four motors (one for each flap). And it's nearly $2000 per motor. The part is back ordered, so it makes me think it is a common problem. Both of these issues are commonly reported by G37 owners on the internet.
