Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2013 Infiniti G37

One problem related to side/window air bag has been reported for the 2013 Infiniti G37. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2013

In my 2013 Infiniti G37 front ¿passenger airbag off¿ light comes on and stays on (means passenger side air bag is disabled) even when a grownup person weighing over 100 pounds sitting on passenger seat, putting front passenger at risk in case of a crash. It seems "occupant classification system" (OCS) is not working as it should making car computer think that a child is sitting on front passenger seat. I have had my car checked by dealer twice but they did not find anything wrong and stated that "it's working as designed" but the issue still persist. On NHTSA web site I found out many other owners of Infiniti 2013 G37 are experiencing the same issue with passenger side air bag. I also checked for any recall my car but did not find any, however there was a recall on "occupant classification system" for 2013 jx35. I suspect 2013 G37 "occupant classification system" has similar issue as 2013 jx35. On behalf of all 2013 G37 owner, we would be really appreciate it if NHTSA can investigate this critical safety further.
