This car odometer is rolled back about 100,000 miles and I hope I am reporting this at the right place. I went to purchase this vehicle and seller paperwork doesn’t match up with vehicle.

I just purchased a 2012 Infiniti G37 and love the car. Once I drove off the car lot I noticed the dashboard was extremely sticky and shiny and appears to be melting. Every time the dash gets in the sun and heat it gets worse. It causes a glare on the windshield that is blinding. I'm afraid the blind spots are going to cause me to hit a person or another car. I contacted Infiniti and they said there is nothing they can do since the car is out of warranty. What can Infiniti do to resolve this dangerous situation?.
Sunroof drains get clogged and have to repeatedly cleaned out by dealer causing a lot of water damage and possibly damage to the body control module.
(unknown)there is a major problem with the dashboard cracking and peeling. This has been going on for a while now and it just keep getting worse. I have checked on line and I see where this is not an isolated problem. I don't understand why Infiniti has not done a major recall by now. (unknown )the second problem with the Infiniti is the battery going down. I am not sure why or for what reason the battery keep going down even if you drive it. This is also a problem that has been going on and it is not an isolated problem either. I have to keep getting battery boost every since we purchased this vehicle. I know Infiniti has to know by now that this is a problem. This a major safety risk to me and others who maybe stranded late at night.

Sun roof drains are defective and are leaking puddles of water inside passenger & driver side of vehicle .
Sunroof drain has malfunctioned multiple times, even after having the Infiniti dealer replace with brand new ones. This was a very expensive repair and has already failed again. Upon searching the internet, this is a known, common problem and Infiniti should have recalled this issue. Water has leaked into my car onto my electronics. Luckily, nothing major has occurred while I was driving like it has for other owners of this same vehicle, but my power functions are malfunctioning because of this flawed component. The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by an Infiniti dealer, who also told me that this is a very common issue with this vehicle and sometimes causes the car to shut off while it is being driven. There are no warnings for this issue - just a bunch of water leaking straight into the car and underneath the floorboard, where many electrical components are housed.
There is a leak on the driver side down the front a-pillar. Water runs over the electrical components, fuse box, bcm. I’ve researched on the internet and this is an extremely common problem. If this component gets wet, the car could shut off while driving. Maybe there is a danger with being electrocuted as well. This is a design flaw and potential safety issue in the 2012 Infiniti G37, and it’s happening fairly often as seen with similar issues from other owners. Do I have to worry about this with my two kids in the car? why hasn’t this been addressed by the manufacturer with the commonality of the problem? I had a similar issue on the passenger side. However, I was not worried about safety as the electrical components are not on that side. There is not the same risk for electrocution or car stoppage while driving. Nonetheless, it is still an extremely common problem and failure of engineering on the manufacturers part. Now I am dealing with the same issue on the drivers side where the electrical components come into play.
When it rains heavy water gets inside the car on both the drivers side and passengers side leaving the floor extremely wet. It is getting the wires wet. Many Infiniti owners are experiencing the same thing and believe inifiniti needs to make a recall.

I just bought this vehicle from carmax mid may 2022 and a little over 1 month now the car completely died. I drove it the prior day came home parked it in my driveway as aways and the next day when I had to go to work I was not able to unlock car doors with the fob key. I then proceeded to trying to unlock the car door with the option on the door handle and that did not work either. At that point I was already irritated and had to call work to let them know my current situation. I then tried the manual option key to open the door which worked but everything was dead. No lights no noise no clicking from the engine when push to start just dead. I assumed that I was sold a vehicle with a bad battery which already has me questioning carmaxs point inspection before selling a vehicle. This is already causing such an inconvenience on me but I need my vehicle for work so I then call my car insurance due to having roadside assistance and let them know I need a jump start because I’m really hopping that’s what it is. When roadside assistance arrives they set up the cables and then I’m told to start my vehicle. Omg. It did not start. At that point I was now feeling mad, taking advantage of, annoyed. Why am I going through something like this when I just bought the car over 1 month ago. Yes I know it’s a pre owned vehicle but having 62k miles you’d think you’d avoid these situations since they are always saying low mileage is better and it was still priced tagged at 23k at carmax and with financing well you get the picture. The roadside gentleman tells me that this car has seems to have something major that caused it to just die. I’m just like wow. This is ridiculous. Now I have a complete dead vehicle that needs to be towed and I guess I have to contact carmax to let them know. This has been a nightmare and so extremely inconvenient on me and I might as well just mentioned that I also had the worst experience in my life buying this vehicle with carmax. I feel played.
Sunroof faulty. I've had car less than 3 years. I work from home and keep car under a carport. After a downpour of rain when I was out of town the interior front sides and floor were soaked. I wash the car myself with hose because drive thru washes will have water come in thru side of front n back sides of the interior. Whe n I got the car th flooring was already lifted on driver n passenger front sides. The previous owner kept car garaged but apparentlythe car had sunroof drain issuesbeforei ownedit. . Thanks.
On June 4 I pulled into a drive to turn the car around and park. I stopped the car, put it into reverse, and pressed the gas pedal;. The car stalled and I pressed the gas pedal again with the regular force. Suddenly the car accelerated and I felt a jerk and heard a bang as it hit a car that was just backing out of the driveway cross from min. My car was going so quickly that the other driver commented on the speed it was going. My car incurred considerable damage, the rebar was damaged, and I took the car int "collision" for repair. At collision, I was told by 2 people that Mini had a problem with acceleration. Priori to the accident, my car occasionally stalled when I was backing it out of the garage. I have since been told that this "stalling" or "stumbling" was a signal that there was a defect that could have been fixed.
There is a water leak rage from the sunroof. My car gets soaked in water and it's not preventable. Creates a smell and mold.
Passenger airbag sensor failed and results in a $7000 fix. Their solution to the problem is a brand new seat. My son exited the vehicle and the airbag light started blinking and now doesn't stop, which means the airbag isn't on. Also, one of the motors responsible for a flap which folds the top down has failed, making the top stop halfway down. The convertible top has four motors (one for each flap). And it's nearly $2000 per motor. The part is back ordered, so it makes me think it is a common problem. Both of these issues are commonly reported by G37 owners on the internet.

The firewall drain grommets for the sunroof drain line have needed to be replaced three times over the past 5 years. This is a well known design defect. Many Infiniti owners have complained about rain water ruining the interior foot wells on both the driver and front passenger areas and causing damage to electronics inside the car. The design flaw issue is very expensive to repair, and to add insult to injury, the costly repair does not last for more than a couple of years. These vehicles should have a recall issued, which is the only real way to get the Infiniti car manufacturer's attention. Otherwise, vehicles will continue to be sold with this known defect. Damaged electronics are dangerous because they are known fire and safety hazards. Infiniti needs to be held accountable.
The carpet on the passenger side gets wet and now moisture was on the inside of the wind shield. I am concerned that that my electronics and wiring under the carpet may be damaged as well as cause mold and mildew. Plus it will cause me financial difficulties but not because of my neglect but because of some fault with the car's manufacturing. The vehicle was stationary in my driveway when my wife told me that her side the passenger side was wet.
The air bag light is blinking. Also the convertible hard top does not open.
For years now my Infiniti G37 dashboard is melting causing obstruction to my visibility. Today on my way from work the glare was so bad I was so close to getting an accident. The reflection can sometimes make it hard to see at night! nothing works I tried cleaning it with a wet rag and nothing works. Infiniti should take care of this problem it's absurd how a luxury company tends to cut corners to make cheap dashboards.
Dashboard material appears as if it is melting, oozing out very sticky unknown substance (toxic?) that creates very shiny surface. For a car of its age, still has that new smell as if from out gassing. The shiny surface reflects light to the windshield obscuring a clear view through it, blocking ability to see objects, especially under certain conditions of light source and background. There have been similar complaints by many. There is settled class action suit for Nissan's altima model, applicable only in florida. But the problem is not unique to this model or location. It is hot and humid also here in the dallas area. Appears not just result of sensitivity to uv, but heat and humidity. This vehicle spends most all its time in a garage environment (no hvac) with few miles. Others have also made this point. The stage it is in now is that it reabsorbs the sticky material as temperature drops below about 88deg f. Therefore I currently do not have picture. Hope I will have ability to add to this report later with a picture. I realize degradation will continue at elevated temperatures, so currently I am trying to keep garage cooler by ventilating to avoid condition from returning. Dealership avoids complaint by saying will return call, but never does.
Air bag passenger sensor defective, very common occurrence with Nissan/Infiniti vehicles. Sensor fails randomly.
Top of dash becomes extremely shiny and sticky after 1 hour of sunlight through the windshield casing unwanted glare in windscreen. Temporarily can be cleaned with soap and water and returns to dull non sticky appearance, but only temporary. Next time car is in the sun for about an hour of driving or parking, the the shininess and stickiness returns causing massive reflections in the windshield. Makes no difference if car is stationary or in motion. No product has been used on the dashboard other than soap and water as needed. Suspect the uv protection or plastics are failing. Car only has 35k miles and is garage kept. There was a similar problem and later class action suite for older nissans and Infiniti, but the problem doesn't looked to be solved in newer cars.
Vehicle's engine stalled (shuttered, acceleration lost, felt like choking) at highway speeds, about 50-60 mph, creating a dangerous situation and I needed to pull over onto the shoulder immediately as the car decelerated to under 30 within seconds. The check engine light came on soon after. Searched "2009 Infiniti G37 engine sputtering" with hundreds of similar results, somehow Infiniti dealerships were never able to reproduce the defect. This car is extremely dangerous and Infiniti needs to start placing human lives over their sales.
The sun roof leaks water under the front passenger and rear passenger mat.
Airbag warning light flashing. Dealer evaluation showed occupant seat sensor unit failure. Told whole bottom seat assy needs to be replaced. Part alone is $6500+ I feel this should be covered by the manufacturer. There was no accident, collision, trauma, etc. Warning light began in August 2019. Extended warrantee expired 7/31/19.
Water leaking into the cabin of the g series vehicles , likely from the wearing gasket of the part known as 'plug-side trim'. Soaks the carpet and may possibly damage wiring under carpet (which may damage electronics and in the case of other manufacturers, cause fires), as well as create a mold\mildew hazard and condensation that can cloud road visibility.
The windshield is leaking on both driver and passenger side. Whenever there is a heavy down pour of rain my carpet is completely wet. It happens if I'm stationary and while driving.
Dashboard is cracking badly. This could possibly affect airbag function if this dashboard damage continues to worsten, an obvious safety issue.
The inside gets completely wet when it rains. Water leaks down on the passenger and driver side. This happens when the car is in motion and when it's not in motion. The rugs get soaked everytime.
Please recall this car because I established a car engine problem at Infiniti miami center. The car was sold to me by a liar from a dealership. He sold a car without any problems. But less then one month it shows the big problem. I have all proofs. The car is dangerous to drive. If you recall the car it can save my life, my family lives and other drivers. Please help me. While I was driving the car was just stopped at the road. I was very scared. Something very dangerous with the car. And the car sometimes lower its speed to extremely low. And I need to start up the car to start driving again. And the dealership refused to help me. He steal my money and get me off from their office. Very rude and not trustful dealership. I wish to return the car to them and take my money back. It's a fraud happened to me! on infinity center told me it's extremely dangerous to drive that car. And it's not start up often, or changed its speed very fast.
When driving at various speeds the car rpms will not go above 2500 rpms. As I was driving the car lost power and started to stall. I have had to put the car in neutral and coast to a stop from 70 mph. This has happened now at least 15 times over the last two years. Many posts I've read that Infiniti is aware of the issue but I have yet to find a solution. The issue is very dangerous and know of many others that have had this issue from posts online.
The dash of the car is melting causing a shiny surface that reflects off the windshield causing a visual impairment. The dash is getting sticky as well and can no longer be cleaned. Any rag used sticks to the dash. Dash has also become very soft which causes imperfections to occur at the slightest touch. There was a class action lawsuit for this that apparently only covered the state of florida. Nissan agreed to replace dash and cover all cost except for $250. This should have been blanket coverage across all Nissan/Infiniti models affected. I know of other owners with same issue - their dash was made of same material as mine. . Read more...

The vehicle was involved in an accident where another car hit the front of the vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy.
2012 Infiniti G37 - when it rains water leaks from the sunroof to the driver and passenger side. Entire floor mats under water. Happens each time it rains.
