Clicking noise coming from behind the tachometer. While driving, the clicking noise happens when the tachometer is between 2k & 3k. The faster I drive, the louder & faster the clicking.

The dash board of my 2009 G37 Infiniti is melting cause a bright glare when sun is shining on to it. Causing me to be blinded my the light and unable to see the road ahead.

Inside my 2008 G37 coupe, on the passenger side , water is leaking onto the floorboard. It looks like it's coming from somewhere in the firewall. I've ran my own test and tried to fix it multiple times for 3 years but finally caved in and looking for help. I think its something more than the sunroof drain . What can Infiniti do to help me ?.

The passenger side airbag sensor is faulty. It says that the airbag is off even when someone is occupying the passenger seat. Infiniti quoted $7,000. 00 to repair the sensor. The entire seat needs to be replaced. This is obviously a manufacturers defect.

Nhtsa action # 813795. Without warning rpm's drop to about 2,000 and vehicle will not go over 30 mph. Turning the car off for 30 seconds seem to reset the issue, but this very dangerous because it happens randomly. I believe it is the "ecm". There is a TSB on this, but it should be recalled! it has happened several times and I have had the ecm replaced, to no avail. The latest date is below. ## VIN passed ## Infinitii G37 2009 ##.

The dashboard is extremely sticky. The other day I was driving on the freeway and a plastic bag got stuck to the dashboard and obstructed my view, luckily no accident. Also, during really sunny days there is a strong glare coming from the dash affecting my visibility because of interference with my glasses.

It started when I was pulling into the parking lot in my office building. With no warning, the car started to accelerate at around 7-8 rpm making a roaring noise heard by many witnesses. This resulted in losing control of the car which then went off the side of the lot into a steep decline where I hit a tree. If it wasn't for that tree there was another 60-70 ft drop into a canyon that I inevitably would have fallen into. You might say, "OH I might've pressed on the acceleration instead of the brakes", but there were skid marks left on the ground that would indicate I was already pressing the brakes to come to a stop, when it suddenly accelerated. In addition, I wouldn't have pressed the brakes that hard, so even if I did accidentally press the acceleration, there would be no way the car would hit 7-8 rpm without virtually flooring it. These are hypothetical situations that I am posing to show that it was not accidental on my part, but a defect within the car. This car posed a life threatening injury that I would like for future car owners to know and to take into account. Please, please, please share this to anyone you know who owns this model car and report to every vehicle institution you guys know of. Thank you.

While driving on sept 15 from raleigh, nc to charleston, SC the sunroof on my Infiniti G37 shattered. It was a clear sunny day with a temp about 80 degrees and to the best of my knowledge there was no foreign object that hit the car. I purchased the car new from the Infiniti dealer in January 2015, the car has 3,200 miles and is kept in the garage at home and in a parking garage at work.

My G37 09 Infiniti is great. But sometimes when I am driving it jerks and on my dash board it indicator shows up as slip. Could you tell me what is this issue?.

On the evening of 8/1015 immediately after starting the car a loud metal on metal grinding sound was heard and the engine stopped. This recurred on attempting to restart the engine. With 3rd attempt car started and appeared to be working but the ac wasn't cooling and the defogger failed to clear windshield misting. I took the car to the mechanic the next morning and a catastrophic part failure was found in the compressor. There was a break in the metal casing and bits of metal were in the fluid requiring not only replacement of the compressor but flushing of the tubing and recharging of the freon. Fortunately the metal fragments did not cause other engine damage and the car was parked at the time and not on the road.

Clutch master and slave cylinder along with the clutch itself failed. Clutch was fully depressed on the floor of the vehicle.

Drivers door would not open from outside or inside vehicle. Driver would have to attempt to crawl out adjacent door. Dealer had to pry door open and remove front seat to fix the door.

Both the driver front and passenger front door would not open. The rear doors had no issues. The fob would allow me to lock and unlock, as well, the key in fob worked to lock and unlock, however the doors would not open from the outside or the inside. This contimued from 7am until 3pm with mulitple attempts to open the doors. The front passengar door opened randomly at 2pm but the other did not until around 3pm. The doors worked as normal until 10pm and then again a repeat of the same issue. I have read online100's of issues with various Nissan and Infinitis from years 2008 to 2011 with this same issue, as I was trying to find repairs for this issue. This should have been recalled years ago. This is vary unsafe. If an accident occured we would be out of luck trying to get out of a vehicle that randomly will or will not let you in or out of it. I will be folowing up with the Infiniti /Nissan dealer and make sure this is repaired free of charge.

While driving down the road at 30 mph or less, I hit a bump and both airbags deploy. Infiniti has an "open case" with me but tells me it will take 6-8 weeks to determine if it even is their liability. The car drives fine and has had no issues until this. Infiniti does not return calls as I have called over thirty times and left messages. I have a case manager, william, whom I leave voice mail. My insurance agent said it was a manufacturer default and to contact Infiniti, which I promptly did. They refuse a loan vehickle while I am paying notes on a car I cannot drive.

Sticky dash board issue. The dash board melts in the sun and feels sticky to the touch. Appears to be a common issue in several models. It happened with my current G37 and prior 2007 g35 sedan that I owned. I filed a claim with my insurance and dashboard was replaced. New dashboard is made out of a different material and is no longer melting or sticking. Infiniti is aware of the issue and a lawsuit was filed in the state of florida. As part of the settlement, no one else can bring a lawsuit against Nissan. This happened when I bought the car Nov 2014 and only had 14,000 miles.

Dash board is melting. Very hot to touch.

Dash became sticky and has remained sticky ever since. The dash also appears to be melting. Cannot clean as rag of any type sticks to the dash. Reflection causes a glare that makes it difficult to see while driving. Contacted Infiniti and they say I have to pay for repair due to factory warranty expired.

My dashboard is melted. Obvious defect of the manufacturer. . . It's sticky and shinny which makes it hard to see and pay attention while I'm driving. I saw that other people have the problem from my local news station and decided to fill this out.

Sticky and shiny dashboard - my dashboard has become extremely sticky and shiny. Sticky to the point that it seems to be melting. Shiny to the point that makes it difficult to drive due to the glare coming off of the dashboard. Sunglasses do not even help with the glare. The material around the steering wheel has become wilted. This all started about a year ago and is getting worse.

The car was started and there was a loud rattling noise coming from the muffler. It is very loud and doesn't go away. Did my research and found out there is a defect in the muffler part number 20100 jl01a. And cars that experience this rattling noise must have their mufflers replace with part number 20100 jl01c. I went to the dealership and they said muffler is not covered in warranty and that there is no recall on the defected part. They want to charge me $880 to replace. The part is defected and they want me to pay for it, very scandalous.

Travelling at approx. 25 mph on a surface street, the front right wheel dislodged from the vehicle, causing the vehicle to go out of control the wheel hit the side of a parked car, and my wife (driver) hit the side of the next parked car, before coming to a stop. Infiniti's inspector stated that the "knuckle" broke, and that is what caused the wheel to dislodge. However, as of now, Infiniti is assuming no liability in this accident.

Car buck and stop accelerate. Then will not go in to low gears or six gear.

Vehicle has had significant issues with the convertible roof operation since purchase with service from the dealer several times a year. Dealer keeps the car for several weeks each visit. New motor placed fall 2017; roof is not functioning again only being used a few times since the motor was placed. This issue has been consistent each time a new reason is given by the dealer at significant cost. Manufacturer has stopped making this car, admitted by the dealer due to the malfunctioning roof. Car is inoperable with the roof issues; current report from service department is to replace the roof latch at nearly $4,000. Dealer suggests getting rid of the car as likely to continue to break with even greater costs with known hydraulic pump failures and as evidenced by other G37 convertibles experiencing the same issue (latest service summary attached). Ethically can not sell privately and trade in significantly diminished. Manufacturer should be held accountable for a known defective mechanical function of this car leaving customers with inoperable or incur ridiculous ongoing expenses in order to continue ownership.

Note: model is new for 2011. . . G25 (not in your database). When an iphone is connected to the ipod interface in the vehicle the playback skips and is intermittent. It occurs every time the iphone is connected and is continuously intermittent throughout the play time. This problem causes undue attention to be paid to the problem sited and not the task of driving safely. The manufacturer has not corrected the problem. This is a new vehicle (<600 miles).

I have 38 pages of service regarding a starting problem. When the car is started with the ac on, it cranks but will not start. There have been 6 battery replacements, one 6 months after the car was purchased and 5 in the last 5 years. Within the last week and a half it has needed 4000 in repairs. A valve assembly, control and now an engine control module. The car was brought in dozens of times and the problem never fixed. Would be happy to provide all of the paperwork.
