Infiniti G37 owners have reported 23 problems related to wiper (under the visibility category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Infiniti G37 based on all problems reported for the G37.
Sunroof drain failure causing rain water from the outside of the vehicle to enter the interior flooding the passenger side going from the front seats to the back seats. Due to the sunroof drain defect, the flooding of the interior causes the water to get into the body control module impacting the electronics which can result in numerous failures in the vehicle making it dangerous to drive. There are numerous videos on youtube and posts on online forums describing this very issue which is extremely common with the G37. Infiniti dealer confirms the issue, but takes absolutely no responsibility. The cost of the repairs to the sunroof drain and body control module are completely placed on the consumer.

For years now my Infiniti G37 dashboard is melting causing obstruction to my visibility. Today on my way from work the glare was so bad I was so close to getting an accident. The reflection can sometimes make it hard to see at night! nothing works I tried cleaning it with a wet rag and nothing works. Infiniti should take care of this problem it's absurd how a luxury company tends to cut corners to make cheap dashboards.

Top of dash becomes extremely shiny and sticky after 1 hour of sunlight through the windshield casing unwanted glare in windscreen. Temporarily can be cleaned with soap and water and returns to dull non sticky appearance, but only temporary. Next time car is in the sun for about an hour of driving or parking, the the shininess and stickiness returns causing massive reflections in the windshield. Makes no difference if car is stationary or in motion. No product has been used on the dashboard other than soap and water as needed. Suspect the uv protection or plastics are failing. Car only has 35k miles and is garage kept. There was a similar problem and later class action suite for older nissans and Infiniti, but the problem doesn't looked to be solved in newer cars.

The cooling system in this vehicle has a two part preformed hose that connects the engine cooling system to the cabin heat exchanger. The two parts are connected with a plastic junction with two spring clamps. This vehicle has approx 85k miles and still has the original coolant. This junction disintegrated. It appears to not be compatible with the coolant. It delaminated and sheared. Luckily it broke while stopped in the garage. If it had happened at high speed it would have spewed the coolant at the rear of the engine, and at least some of it would have gone to the windshield, obstucting the view. I have saved the disintegrated part.

While driving on the highway, the sunroof spontaneously exploded and shattered while in the closed position.
Water leaking into the cabin of the g series vehicles , likely from the wearing gasket of the part known as 'plug-side trim'. Soaks the carpet and may possibly damage wiring under carpet (which may damage electronics and in the case of other manufacturers, cause fires), as well as create a mold\mildew hazard and condensation that can cloud road visibility.
The dashboard is melting and causes reflections at certain angles causing distortion in the vision. A part of the wind shield just shows the reflection of the dashboard hampering road vision.
Dashboard is melting, cracking and sticky and causing a glare that is reflecting onto the windshield and causing visibility issues while driving, I owned the car for 3 years and only put 1500 miles on the car and purchase the car from florida.
My garage kept 2008 G37s has a dash that has increasingly become shinier to the point that it has become dangerous to drive during the day when the sun is out. It is so reflective that it causes a tremendous glare on my windshield. This seemed to happen progressively over the last few years because when I bought the car 6 years ago it was not an issue. The dash itself is in one piece with no cracks but it is tacky like uncured rubber. If you put a fingernail in it lightly, that mark is now there to stay. This makes it impossible to clean or wipe down the dash due to running the finish. It also makes the inside of the windshield hazy due to what I have to assume is off gassing of some sort. The blinding glare this dash creates on my windshield has nearly caused me to crash on more than one occasion and has got me wanting to sell the car but I don't want to pass the problem on to anyone else. I paid 28,000 for the car 6 years ago and it was a 48,000 car new with every option possible. The infinity dealership in wichita KS was of no help even though they admitted there were problems with G37's and many other nissans and infinity of this era ( mid 2000s) where the meterial the dash pad is made from starts to break down just outside the factory warranty. It's only a matter of time these shiny tacky dashes start causing collisions due to blinding glare.

Dashboard has become tacky and highly reflective causing a severe glare when the sun hits it. Vehicle surges while coming to a stop. Enough to hit something if you do not have the brake pedal pressed abnormally hard.
The vapors from the cracked dashboard have created a safety issue. The inside of the windshield continuously fogs up creating a visibility problem due to these emitting vapors. Have no clue if they may be toxic, however, the emitting vapors are a visual safety hazard. The vapors are continuously emitting whether the vehicle is stationary or moving. The cracked dashboard is the problem.
The dash of the car is melting causing a shiny surface that reflects off the windshield causing a visual impairment. The dash is getting sticky as well and can no longer be cleaned. Any rag used sticks to the dash. Dash has also become very soft which causes imperfections to occur at the slightest touch. There was a class action lawsuit for this that apparently only covered the state of florida. Nissan agreed to replace dash and cover all cost except for $250. This should have been blanket coverage across all Nissan/Infiniti models affected. I know of other owners with same issue - their dash was made of same material as mine. . Read more...

Takata recall same problem as other have stated airbag light, due to passenger seat sensors. Also melting dashboard, that causes glare to visibility and a safety hazard if the airbags did work. Unfortunately, the airbags have been disabled due to the sensor. Both the dashboard and airbag sensors have been recalled in other Nissan and Infiniti models but not this model. Pretty much all the same parts for the the dash and airbags but this model has been excluded.
The dash board plastic is melting and the reflection of the sun makes it very difficult to drive in the direction of the sun at all times.
While driving on sept 15 from raleigh, nc to charleston, SC the sunroof on my Infiniti G37 shattered. It was a clear sunny day with a temp about 80 degrees and to the best of my knowledge there was no foreign object that hit the car. I purchased the car new from the Infiniti dealer in January 2015, the car has 3,200 miles and is kept in the garage at home and in a parking garage at work.
Numerous consumers have been complaining about the lack of quality, specifically in the 2008-2009 dash board components of the Infiniti G37. There have been reports of melting and sticky dashboards as a result of poor build quality. This is a safety issue as the melting dashboard glares into the windshield while driving, causing difficulty to see down the road.
The material Infiniti uses for their dashboard has been melting from the heat. Because of this the car started getting a strong glare that blinds me from seeing the bottom half of the winshield. I almost got into an accident because I couldn't see the car on the left lane from the bottom corner of the winshield the dash is also very sticky because of this issue. I called Infiniti and even though a lot of owners are having this problem, Infiniti is just ignoring the situation and the repair to the dash is set right around 1000 bucks. That's insane!.
In 2013 I began noticed the dash becoming tacky and difficult to clean. By 2015, the dash began to pool and reflect sunlight while day driving. Shortly after the pooling started, the dash began cracking and became soft, with damage occurring when touched.
The dashboard on my 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe is melting. The glare off the dashboard is dangerous. This is unacceptable!.
7. 8. 14 vehicle bought in to service dept to install navigation map update. Was told that navigation unit wasn't working. Infiniti ordered refurbished unit. 7. 16. 14 noticed gash in dashboard next to vent where they had to remove to be able to install new navigation unit. I have extended warranty for 2 more years. 7. 23. 14 brought car in to show the gash in the dashboard next to the ac vent after the navigation unit was installed. Chris the service manager looked at the gash and also discovered the melting dashboard affect near the window. He said he would order new dashboard and call me when it arrived to install. 8. 12. 14 called chris 3 times as I did not hear back from him about the arrival of the new dashboard. Finally spoke with him and he said that he wanted to try and repair it before replacing it. That was unacceptable to me. I researched melting dashboard and discovered this is an issue with Infiniti's and other vehicles. I placed a call to corporate Infiniti and left message for karen to discuss this issue and see what to do about getting a new dashboard as that is what the service manager notated on his form on 7. 23. 14. 8. 13. 14 danielle case# 15182534 April is specialist in my area - she will call me back - April 615 725 7565 8. 14. 14 April is in touch with service manager at infinity. She will call me by the end of the business day next Tuesday to let me know the outcome 8. 25. 14 Infiniti said they will not replace dashboard. Not covered. I have photos showing the safety issue of the glare off of the dashboard. It makes seeing the road difficult and a clear safety hazard.
Sticky and shiny dashboard - my dashboard has become extremely sticky and shiny. Sticky to the point that it seems to be melting. Shiny to the point that makes it difficult to drive due to the glare coming off of the dashboard. Sunglasses do not even help with the glare. The material around the steering wheel has become wilted. This all started about a year ago and is getting worse.
The material the dash board is made of melts at normal temperatures compromising the integrity of the dash board and visibility (it's reflective).
