Car Accelerates On Its Own Problems of Infiniti I30

Unintended acceleration 5 times over the past 2 years when stopping, usually when going downhill. Has become more frequent. For the first three incidents just stomping on the brake sufficed to get the engine to stop racing. The last two incidents, in the past 2 weeks, were (1) in a parking lot when going from drive to reverse to drive to maneuver into a parking spot and (2) at a stop light. In the parking lot, turning the engine off and back on stopped the racing. This last incident was the most serious. I turned the engine off, waited ~15 seconds, turned it back on and the engine raced again. Turned it off again, waited about a minute, all was ok. The dealer cannot find any reason for these failures.

While driving my wife's 1999 infinit I30, I experienced an unexpected sudden acceleration when slowing to enter a parking space. I immediately stood on the brakes and put the car into neutral with the engine racing. If I had not reacted quickly, I would have crashed into the parked car ahead of me. I stopped within a few inches of that car. This has not occured before, accrding to my wife who was the primary driver of the Infiniti. The car has 92,000 miles on it.

While in a parking lot, slowing down, vehicle suddenly accelerated. Motor could be heard revving up before it took off. Could not control vehicle. Had hit another vehicle in parking lot. Had taken vehicle to body shop before going to dealership.

Had started to slow down when vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning. Before taking off engine was revving. Owner had no control. Vehicle hit another vehicle parked in parking lot. Before taking vehicle to dealership, vehicle was at body shop.

After making a complete stop, the vehicle suddenly accelerated.
