Vehicle Speed Control Problems of Infiniti I30

The passenger front tire blew, the car then locked up, the steering wheel locked up, the car sped out of control (police estimated up to 70 miles per hour), the car ran into a brick building. The air bags did not deploy! I woke up surrounded by a crowd of people. Although, I pressed the brakes to the floor, and there were black marks on the parking lot leading up to the car inside the brick building, the car continued to accelerate, out of control.

These tires hit hard on bumps. Also when breaking tires do not stop correctly the track light comes on in the car. Every week I have to put air in them also I notice when going at a speed over 55 you can feel vibrations on steering wheel. I am tired of worrying everyday to put air in the tires so I don't get stuck now I have to go and buy new tires I just think that cooper tires should reimburse people for the cost.

The contact owns a 2001 Infiniti I30. The contact stated that while driving 15 mph, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to a local shop who stated that the idle control valve was defective and the electronic control module may be defective as well. The manufacturer was not contacted. 1) driving at about 10 mph car would not stop. After swerving around the car in front of me, I was able to stop the car. Afterwards, car stopped ok. 2) on same day, when parking, car in reverse, and my foot on brake,car tried to accelerate for a few seconds. Afterwards operated ok.

After backing out of a parking space, the vehicle auto-accelerated when the transmission selector was placed into the 'drive' position. To avoid a head on collision (the vehicle accelerated to a high rate of speed) the steering wheel was turned toward the left. The result was the striking of the bumper area of three parked vehicles, one of which suffered some rear fender damage. Damage to my vehicle was severe; however, the air bag failed to activate. This was not the first incident of 'auto-acceleration'. It occured when the vehicle was new. The vehicle was taken to and remained at the dealership for approximately one-week, but no fault was found. *akmore recently, the vehicle continued to increse in speed although no force was applied to the accelerator. In these cases, there was sufficient time so no damage was done.

Vehicle would not reduce in speed even after consumer applied brake causing him to rear end another vehicle. Nlm.

Vehicle is extremely unstable during acceleration, in lower gear, if one gives it more than one half throttle, the vehicle will pull to the right.
