Car Stall problems of the 2006 Infiniti M35

Two problems related to car stall have been reported for the 2006 Infiniti M35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 03/09/2015

On March 9th, 2015 my 2006 Infiniti M35 stalled while I was driving it and wouldn't start again. I checked the fuses and battery and couldn't find any issues so I had it towed to the local Infiniti dealer. Initially the dealer told me that the ecm (brain) needed to be replaced and, after a fair amount of pressure from me to stand behind their product, the Nissan factory agreed to cover the ecm replacement (~$2200). On April 9th, 2015 they informed me my car was "fixed and ready" however when driving home it stalled on the freeway (while going ~70mph with my kids in the car with me) and again, it wouldn't start. I had it towed back to the dealer and paid for an advanced diagnostic ($420) at which time they discovered "melted and shorting" wires between the power distribution unit (pdu) and the fuse box. . . On April 22nd, 2015 they replaced these wires (they never actually diagnosed the cause of the melted shorting wires) and they again told me my car was "fixed and ready". . . Yet again, while driving home the car stalled on the freeway and wouldn't start. I had it towed back to the dealer again and they called in an advanced factory technician who determined that the main wiring harness and another wiring harness needed to be replaced and they're quoting me an outrageous amount for the repair ($8400). The car currently shows a ~$10. 5k value on kelley blue book. . .

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2011

I was driving my 2006 Infiniti M35x home Sunday night and it began to stall on me while driving. The car wouldnt accelerate and the brakes locked on me. I was on the freeway going about 70mph when this happened. The steering wheel wouldnt turn anymore and I began to panic as another speedy vehicle would potentially rear end me and maybe even kill me. I put my emergency lights on and called for help. My fuel gauge read about a half tank full of gasoline. I had a friend bring me gas to see if that was why this car wouldnt start anymore and unfortuanetly it was the problem. The fuel gauge was not working properly and I could of got myself killed in a big accident that way. Idk what to do! the warranty is not valid anymore and I do not have money to fix this issue. Please help!.
