When driving on roads that are crowning right the steering pulls right. . . The same to the left. The bigger issue is that when it hits an uneven road the car seems to pull very sharply right of left, uncontrollably. Luckily enough I have enough experience to regain control and know that this does not happen with other cars I drive.

When coming to stops vehicle front end steers to either side of road, as if front steering system is loose. When driving at highway speeds car wants to wonder and must constantly correct direction of steering as im driving.

Car steering is is all pver the highway. It tends to go where it wants to go. This is my fourth car, and it's the first time that I have ever experienced this type of steering issue.

When driving on freeway the car pulls to right or left hard for no reason, this is not a out of alignment issue, car just had a 4 wheel alignment. This is very dangerous at high speeds. I think it is a steering rack issue and needs to be addressed with Nissan before someone gets killed by loosing control of car.

Steering problem with 2006 Infiniti M35x. Car has severe tramiling or tracking problem. Car swerves to left and right dramatically when crossing crown in highway or traveling over rutted or uneven road surfaces. This condition has caused many near accidents for myself and my wife. Dealer claims that it is the way the car is supposed to handle. We have tried other tires and alianments to no avail.

I have a 2006 Infiniti M35 all wheel drive with 109,000 miles. The vehicle will randomly wander and pull from left to right. During casual driving, the vehicle will sometimes pull so abruptly that it causes me to leave the lane. I fear that one day this could cause an accident. The pulling occurs on a daily basis. I have new tires, new brakes, and the vehicle is in proper order. This has been happening ever since I got the car 50,000 miles ago.

Vehicle tramlines, causing the steering to become erratic. New tires and alignment do no fix this issue. It is related to the steering component.

Car pulls to each side of the road with the slightest unevenest of surface. It is a struggle to keep the car going straight if road is not new and even.

Car is susceptible to slight changes in road surface and is very difficult to keep in lane. Tires are in good condition.

Experienced tramlining in my Infiniti M35. Very weird and feel very unsafe while driving. Have to continuously make sure that the car is driving straight. Very very awful situation.

2007 Infiniti M35x - has a major steering problem! went to a Nissan dealer had 4 wheel alignment, balanced and rotated tires, and problem still exist. Steering wheel violently slams from left to right under normal operating conditions. It's like someone else is trying to take over the steering for you. This happens at very low speeds, and on the smallest dip in the road. Very different from tramlining. Any slight dip in the road causes the steering wheel to slam left and right. I have a Ford escort that handles the road better than this Infiniti, and this is unacceptable for a luxury vehicle. Please act on these complaints. Most american's are not rich to just switch vehicles.

The steering seems to tramline. It is hard to steer straight.

2007 Infiniti M35x abruptly pulls left and right over small and large bumps on the road. It appears that the steering rack is defective. Because of this, there was a lot of going in and out of my lane numerous times; which almost caused like 3 accidents.

Car will shift left and right without warning, which makes it very dangerous at highway speeds. The term I have heard is tramlining.

I have an '06 Infiniti M35x. The steering bucked and rolled and generally moved erratically along the highway. It was pretty regular. The tires were replaced-reduced the action-but not completely. There is something wrong w/the steering of this machine.

2006 Infiniti M35x is very difficult to keep in lane at highway speeds. Car wants to pull left or right and requires heavy steering effort to correct and maintain position in lane. So severe that hands are sore after several hours of driving. This has been an on-going problem. Tires have been replaced and four wheel alignment checked. Neither had any impact on issue.

A various times and under varying conditions my vehicle will dart to one side or the other. Quick steering correction has been required to keep the vehicle from departing the lane of traffic. This will happen without warning and has on numerous occasions nearly lead to a collision.

2009 Infiniti M35x will make a "hard turn" on slightly uneven roads and cause the vehicle to go quickly to the left or right. . Severe hazard and from what I reviewed there are several complaints already about the issue. This is an accident waiting to happen that will ultimately be blamed on the government for having uneven roads because the M35x will go with the road. It is also somewhat difficult to recover to a normal steering after your car is being taken over by the road. . . This happens extremely fast and is an accident waiting to happen with serious injuries. I'm a local police officer and seriously suggest that this issue be addressed before it becomes bigger than what it is.

I have a 2006 Infiniti M35x that pulls to the right/left all the time I have changed my tires twice but that did not solve the problem. I have found out from other owners that it is the steering that is causing this problem rack and pinoin.

Vehicle steering especially hard to control on highway/interstate. Changed oem tires at 22,800 miles and helped somewhat. Have 20,000 miles on new tires and problem has resurfaced. Vehicle's steering wheel will abruptly jerk left or right depending on road surface and cause auto to leave the lane its traveling in. Had dealership align but does not help. Almost caused auto to leave interstate on 3/1/13 at 70 mph. Very serious issue; afraid to drive.

2006 Infiniti M35 sport. Tramlining issue. Car pulls to left when driving. I get wheel alignments performed, and seems to help for about 1000 miles, then the car does the tramlining issue again.

Vehicle tracks sporadically to both left and right sides when driving on highway. Feels like driving on train tracks and constantly jumping track. Creates a very dangerous situation because car pulls fiercely in either direction at will.

2006 Infiniti M35 x loss of control of steering. Car would pull both left and right while driving at highway speeds. Had to pull car off the highway and steering issues persisted. Learned of other reports on Infiniti M35x steering by researching on internet. Referred to issue as tramlining. This problem should be addressed by Infiniti as loss of steering could result in death or other serious injury.

I purchased my vehicle in October 2009 certified pre-owned from Infiniti southwest in houston, TX with 13k on it already. This past year I cant take it anymore. The problem is getting worse and worse since the very beginning when I purchased the vehicle. Any groove on the road or minor indentation causes my steering wheel to lose control. Even when I switch lanes, just driving over the little bump reflector cause me tramling. It literally looks like there is a drunk driver on the road when people see me driving. It occurs any time I drive it. I've gotten new tires (which they always try to blame first), almost 3 alignments, and warranty checks and they say they cant find the problem and blame it on the road. Why are there people on every online Infiniti m forum complaining to each other about their vehicle and this problem. There is something wrong (defective steering rack) and something needs to get done!!.

I purchased an infinity M35 pulls to the right and the dealership is not able to fix it. I am concerned about my safety the dealership fixed the alignment, rotated the tires, they tell me it's fixed, but after each service for this problem, the problem is unchanged. There needs to be a recall to fix this problem as apparently this is a known problem at infinity and many people have complained on google. Please take action as I am concerned for my family's safety.

I own a 2006 Infiniti M35x and this car suffers terribly from erratic handling, often referred to as tramlining. This car is almost uncontrollable on rutted or crowned roads at any speed and requires constant corrective steering to avoid having this car 'dart' into the oncoming traffic or off the highway completely. My wife will not drive this car because of this defect. This problem has been reported numerous times for this model year and later, yet no recall or advisory has been posted. This design flaw will kill, and probably has killed, someone if it is not corrected. Dealers frequently attribute this to tire type/brand, tire wear, or alignment but the comments of others posting make it clear that these are not solutions. The problem persists after these steps are taken. The steering rack design is flawed and only after this is replaced does this problem go away.

Normal driving on highway the car suddenly pulled to the left moving in to the oncoming traffic lane then pulled side to side. Aggressive counter steering and slowing down was required to get the car to straighten out. Dry road 65 mph this is apparently a recurring problem with M35's. Fortunately the oncoming lane was clear or there would have been a head on. This is a serious defect which should be forced to be corrected by Infiniti. Steering and front suspension wanders suddenly and almost uncontrollably when vehicle transitions from a smooth to semi-rough road surface at 50-65 miles per hour.

My 2006 Infiniti M35 will not steer straight while driving. Depending on the road it will at time almost force me into another lane. This is a know issue on all M35 cars, and a very dangerous one at that.

Car drives fine until there is any kind of small bumps, indentations, potholes, etc on the road. Once it hits an area that is not 100% flat the steering goes crazy. Even when changing lanes and you drive over one of the reflectors on the road to mark traffic lanes the car will move severely one direction and force you to make a hard and fast correction to avoid hitting something or someone. I have almost hit curbs, center dividers, other cars, and concrete construction walls on multiple occasions. While this problem happens in a significant way at higher speeds, it happens even more so at lower speeds.
