Wheel problem #1

I experienced an ongoing grinding/rattling noise from the wheel/brake area. The vehicle was serviced multiple times by a franchised dealer, which diagnosed the issue as brake-related and performed brake repairs. The noise was not resolved, and the vehicle was returned in the same condition. Shortly after service, an independent mechanic discovered a cracked/broken brake pad installed on the vehicle. Due to safety concerns, the manufacturer authorized inspection at a separate franchised dealership under different ownership. That inspection confirmed aftermarket brake pads, rotors, and related components of unknown origin installed on both the front and rear, missing oem hardware, improper lubrication, and wheel bearing issues contributing to the noise. The inspecting dealer documented that the braking system must be returned to oem specifications before safe operation and further diagnosis could continue. Despite this, the manufacturer has declined to require oem remediation, and the vehicle continues to operate with unauthorized aftermarket brake components. The grinding noise has continued and has since shifted toward the rear. The condition is reproducible, documented by video, and confirmed by independent inspection. I believe the vehicle was returned to service in an unsafe condition involving a critical braking system.

Wheel problem #2

In October of 2023 I was driving onto the high way and my car just started to slow down I could not accelerate that gas while I was on the highway which is very dangerous when you are on the highway. My car turn off completely the engine light started to blink. All the lights were blinking. The only thing that was on was my radio. I could not move the car I was having. Trouble putting the car into park. Everything was stuck. Good thing I was not in the middle of the highway and not on a really busy highway but it was late at night. Drivers on the high way and myself are out at risk I could not even put my hazards on. A car could have crash into me and serious injury’s could have happen. I was stuck and was having trouble putting the car in park. Could not go into neutral. For a car to come to a sudden stop not be able to put the car in park that can be a risk factor due to if the car turn back on going into neutral on its own. The car was fixed with new engine at an auto body in July or August 2024 now the engine light is on again the car will not even turn on. All the oil leaked out. Infiniti did my last oil change and said it was due at 117k which that is my current reading. When the oil all leaked out the car had a steering issue it crashed into a guardrail. That is the second time the car slow down had some type of issue is a big risk factor in August 2024 when the oil came out the car that can cause a fire and lost of steering the car crashed into rail with us in it. I did not have any warning signs about this going to happen. The car has not been driven since.

Wheel problem #3

Dunlop sp sport 5000 dsst p245/40rf19 developed sidewall bubble spontaneously. Had to replace two tires at less than 30,000 miles. Both tires had plenty of tread life left (> 6/32).

Wheel problem #4

I rented a vehicle from hertz at george bush intercontinental airport in houston, texas Friday may 18, 2018. About 2 hours into my trip I checked the vehicle information and discovered that the tire pressure was not at manufactures specifications (35psi). The front two tires were at about 44psi, the rear drivers side tire was at 59psi and the rear passenger tire was at about 40psi. I immediately called hertz emergency road assistance (8006544174) and notified them of the issue. I was advised to notify the location upon returning the vehicle. After making this call I was in an auto accident. The vehicle hydroplaned and slid across the highway, eventually making one or more 360 turns until stopping. I called hertz emergency road assistance to notify them of the incident and was advised to drive to the closest open location which was over 130 miles from the accident, since the vehicle was still operable. I do not believe that this incident was a result of manufacture issues, I do however believe that negligence on behalf of the rental car company in maintain the vehicle resulted in the vehicle hydroplaning. When I retired to the hertz location at bush intercontinental, I spoke with alec, a manager at the location, and he confirmed that it is standard protocol that tire pressure is checked for all returned vehicles. If the tire pressure on this vehicle was not checked I am confident there are others with the same or similar issues. I am not sure if this is the proper authority to handle this matter but I do believe an investigation of some sort is necessary. Attached to this complaint are pictures of the car trip information with psi. The picture from Friday when I originally noticed the issue. The picture from Sunday at 3:12 was shortly after the incident and the picture at the mobile airport is when I returned the vehicle. There is also a picture of damage.
