One problem related to steering noise has been reported for the 1999 Infiniti QX4. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was driving at a slow rate of speed when I felt and heard a noise in the steering column and brake pedal. Upon further inspection I saw the driver side strut tower had broken loose from the welds on the frame causing the tower to become dislodged from the frame itself.
