While moving of from a stop sign,there is a sudden acceleration surge with a loud revving of the engine while driving. Car speeds for approximately two blocks before coming to a stop. This happened on 12/12/2010 and 12/19/2012. 2003 Infiniti Qx4.

Transmission Failure problem #2

While driving over an hour or more than 80 miles, transmission would not shift from pass gear down to 3 gear. It would sound like its slipping. Has been doing this since 5,000 miles SUV has 100,000 infinity doesn't want to cover it. Now first and 4th doesn't work. Dealer told me infinity had a problem with the trans over heating, which causes transmission failure.
