Carburetor Problems of Infiniti QX4

My wife was driving our Qx4 Infiniti and while attempting to park the vehicle, it suddenly accelerated; she applied full pressure to the brakes; the car jumped over the curb and rammed into a concrete utility pole. Car was towed by Infiniti back to montgomery, al. A full report was done by an Infiniti rep; we have heard nothing to date from consumer affairs. We are having to lease a car at our own expense. We have no one at Infiniti who can give us any information as to what is going to happen in this incident. We are afraid to operate the vehicle again until we know what the problem was and that it has been resolved. We were not injured and the only property damage was to the car itself.
