Oh my . . . What a bad problem. After idling for about 10 minutes when it was about 90degf outside the "brake" light came on . . . Then when trying to move the brakes would not work. They had a very bad vibration in the pedal and made grinding and spring popping noises. Even though going slow (<30 mph) the car would barely stop. I cannot imagine this happening at highway speeds. Very dangerous. Turning the car off and then back on resolved the problem, but I am very concerned that this is going to happen again at a very bad time. The brake pads and rotors were checked and they are fine. There needs to be a definitive fix and recall for this dangerous issue.
