The contact owns a 2016 infinti Qx60. While driving various speeds, there was an abnormal splashing noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

Nissan north America, that the manufacturer may have been aware of this defect but did not adequately disclose it. In addition, I am aware that this vehicle model has been associated with other safety-related recalls, including issues involving the abs actuator (which may pose a fire risk) and the hybrid powertrain control system (if applicable). These existing concerns further highlight the urgency of addressing this defect. This is not normal wear and tear, but a potential safety-related defect that places drivers, passengers, and others on the road at risk. I am concerned about continuing to operate this vehicle and potentially causing an accident or injury due to overheating or loss of vehicle function. I am requesting that this issue be formally investigated to determine whether a recall or corrective action is necessary to prevent harm.
