1 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2025 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 07/16/2025

I have disable their rear emergency breaking over 10 times. Every time I turn the vehicle off it turns back on automatically. I have a trailer mounted bike rack hooked up to my vehicle and every time I back up it slams on the breakes. I have take then steps to turn this off but it will not remain off. Having this turn back on automatically is a safety hazard in my opinion.

2 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2024 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 08/15/2024

Most issues began around the 6th month of the first year of ownership and have persisted. Current mileage is ~31,500. Safety-related defects: 1. Washer system leak/empty reservoir: washer fluid repeatedly drains/ends up empty, preventing windshield cleaning while driving and reducing visibility. Began after a dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025 for panoramic sunroof noise (“concern began after prior dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025”). 2. Rear driver-side window intermittently lowers by itself (electrical), creating distraction and a safety/security risk. 3. Side mirror intermittently fails to unfold/open, reducing rear/side visibility. 4. Water intrusion into cabin from top of front passenger door area during rain/car washes, causing staining/odor and raising concern for electrical components/safe operation. 5. Panoramic sunroof creaking noise when closed (driver distraction); prior service attempt (~2 days) did not resolve. 6. Adas concerns: automatic emergency braking and parking collision warning intermittently fail to activate / provide alerts when expected, creating driver distraction and uncertainty about proper system operation. No crash or injury has occurred. Please document these issues and evaluate for a potential defect trend/recall if similar complaints exist.

3 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2024 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 08/15/2024

I am submitting this to supplement NHTSA complaint no. 11704996 regarding a 2024 Infiniti Qx60. Current mileage approx. 31,500. No injuries. Crash/incident (property damage only): within the first 2 months of ownership, while backing into a parking space at a grocery store parking lot, the parking collision warning did not alert and automatic emergency braking did not activate. I struck a shopping cart I did not see, causing minor damage/dent to the liftgate (no injuries). Additional adas safety concern (near-miss / repeated events): during the first year of ownership, on at least two occasions while using intelligent cruise control / driver assist (steering assist) on a highway, when the vehicle ahead braked, my vehicle did not slow down or brake as expected and continued approaching at the prior speed. I had to brake immediately and steer to avoid a collision. No crash or injuries occurred. Similar instances have occurred additional times; however, I was monitoring the system and manually braked in time when it did not slow/stop from a safe following distance. I am concerned about intermittent non-response of these driver-assist braking functions. Ongoing safety-related issues since about the 6th month of the first year: 1) windshield washer system leak/empty reservoir (reduced visibility). Concern began after prior dealer visit on 06/03–06/04/2025 for panoramic sunroof noise. 2) rear driver-side window intermittently lowers by itself (electrical). 3) side mirror intermittently fails to unfold/open (visibility). 4) water intrusion into cabin from top of front passenger door area during rain/car washes (photos available), raising concern for electrical/safe operation. 5) panoramic sunroof creaking noise (distraction). Request NHTSA document and evaluate for potential defect trend.

4 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2016 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 02/02/2024

I'm hoping to solve a problem or at least get a positive answer why my Feb warning indicator light comes on "sporadically". I had noticed it quite a few times either driving on the freeway, secondary roads, at higher and lower speeds and especially troublesome, when there are not any hazards or. . . Now my light stay on all time.

5 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2020 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 11/16/2023

I was involved in a multi-car accident on 11/16/23 wile traveling on the 485 beltway around charlotte, nc. It was approximately 6 pm, and completely dark. The traffic was very heavy and traveling at 70 mph ( the speed limit) when a car in front of me was stopped. My 2020 infinity Qx60 did not alert me of a potential frontal collision, nor did the car begin braking. I slammed on the brakes, but was unable to keep from hitting the car in front of me. I was then hit in my rear by the car in back of me. None of my airbags went off!!! that is inconceivable since my front end collided with the car in front of me and the car behind me hit my car's rear end. I have a badly bruised sternum and am in a great deal of pain. It hurts all of the time, and is excruciating when I move. The safety systems failed. I'm very fortunate that I wasn't more badly injured. My SUV was towed to larry campbell's towing storage yard, which is located at 7327 old statesville rd. In charlotte, nc. 28269. ( all 3 cars involved in the accident were towed). The nc highway patrol responded to the accident and a report was written. The local report number is 231116167ha.

6 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2023 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 02/15/2023

While driving 40-50mph, my 2023 Qx60 malfunctioned sensing the car was in a front end collision forcefully stopping the car. The force was so strong that I thought a large truck hit me from behind. After realizing I was not in an accident, the dashboard was lit up with malfunction warnings. I was 5 miles from my local infinity dealership when this occurred. I was able to drive straight to the dealership. The dashboard warnings stayed lit with safety warnings. The infinity dealership had a service technician inspect my vehicle upon arriving. I was informed that my vehicle was unsafe to drive and the car generated safety malfunction codes with the technician. The car needed to have the ades control unit replaced and the parts needed to repair the vehicle was on back order. I received a loaner vehicle all within 30 -45 minutes after arriving. I was very stressed and in a state of shock that I broke down crying. Had I drove my normal commute to work that day, it would’ve been fatal. The atchafalaya basin bridge in louisiana is the worst place to encounter. I’m 42, and never had a vehicle accident. Medical treatment was needed after this incident. My car was serviced days before this happened by the infinity dealership because the shifter malfunctioned while driving. Warning notices displayed on the screen so I pulled over and was unable to get the car back in drive. The vehicle generated a code upon arriving at the dealership. I was told it was not covered under the manufacturer warranty because coffee residue was visible on the shifter. I had my new car less than 60 days and incurred a $900 bill from the infinity dealership to replace the shifter. I was in a loaner for almost a week. The collision malfunction occurred 5 days after I received my vehicle back from having the shifter replaced. It’s been over a month now and the part is still on back order. Brand new vehicle, 2 incidents that generated safety codes, x3 car payments on a car unsafe to drive.

7 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2019 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 01/16/2022

The car engine suddenly shut off itself while I am driving in the middle of the road. The engine and the collision sensor lights were on, I had to fully stop the car and put it into "p" then restart the engine in order to go again. It was a heavy snowing day, I drove pretty slow about 20- 30 mph. It happened twice that day and one of the times I was stopped at the middle of an intersection. There were no warning lamps or any other symptoms at all, and my car still has fuel which the dealer can prove. It's extremely dangerous because my car just suddenly has to stop especially it was a snowing day. I got the car tolled to an Infiniti dealer the next day, they ran a check and did a test drive (was not snowing the next day) but they couldn't duplicate the problem, so they cannot fix anything. Contacted Infiniti cooperate but they said if the dealer couldn't duplicate the problem, they cannot do anything about it.

8 Automatic Emergency Braking problem of the 2019 Infiniti QX60

Failure Date: 10/06/2021

The emergency braking system occassionally engages when I am driving. On about four occassions I was driving and the alarm began beeping. The car suddenly began braking. Nothing was directly in front of my vehicle that should have triggered the system. The most recent incident was yesterday, 10/5/21. This afternoon on my way home from work, the following warning appeared after a brief beeping sound, " Feb. Warning. See owners manual. " a symbol was also lit on the dashboard. This warning remained on until I turned my vehicle off once I arrived home. I have not restarted the vehicle to see if the warning reappears. There have also been at least two instances of the rear sensor going off.
