On February 27th, 2026, around 2:00 pm, while driving my 2024 infinity Qx60 on hwy. 459 in birmingham, al, at approximately 70 mph in heavy traffic, the engine suddenly shut down completely and shifted into neutral without any prior warning lights, noises, or symptoms. I had great difficulty figuring out what had happened, and struggled to avoid being hit while crossing over three lanes to coast to the shoulder. I attempted to put the car back into drive without success and was absolutely terrified as I barely missed being hit by an 18-wheeler traveling behind me at a high rate of speed. The car was shuddering, but I managed to drive a short distance to the birmingham Nissan dealer. After an inspection, they stated it was due to an improperly installed air filter that interfered with the maf, and I was told I had to pay $1,000 for repairs. The forward collision warning sensor went out after the maf was repaired, but the car was released to us. We had to take it right back to the dealer and leave it again.

Distorted view through the windshield. When looking at lights, double image is visible. This is especially pronounced at nights, causing poor visibility and eye strain. This issue seems to be isolated to vehicles with heads up display, because of the lamination.
The car begins to shake and shutter when I reach 2500rpms.

On Jan 11, 2023 my Infiniti Qx60 hybrid awd that I purchased with premium and technology packages that includes forward collison warning (fcw) and intelligent braking system (ibs) failed to work. I got no warning and/or my emergency brake was applied by these systems that I paid high dollars for. I had to apply the hard braking myself to try stop my car from collision but it was too late and ended up rear ending someone in multi car chain accident. I am extremely concern that the Infiniti Qx60 fcw and ibs are just sales gimmick and does not work all or not at the right time when you need them. The weather was cloudy but no rain or anything that could have blocked the car sonar and radar. However none of these systems worked. Prior to the accident I have noticed that occasionally I get iba switched off obstruction warning with nothing in front of the car. The same issues have been noticed on the Infiniti's sister brand Nissan's pathfinder, rogue and others. Thankfully no one got hurt in my wreck. But I lost my car. I bought all these expensive systems to protect me and my family for these situations. However Infiniti systems failed to work on mine. Not sure what options I have to pursue as there are others who have the same issues that I noticed. Hope no one lose their lives before Infiniti and/or Nissan can fix this problem. I would also like to know what my options are against a car manufacturer that sold systems that does not work, while the average public buy these expensive systems hoping to be protected from the unforscene accidents that can happen to no fault of their own. Thanks and regards.
The brakes will go to the floor on its own and won’t stop and almost rear ended vehicles or ran lights due to not being able to stop. The brake issue has been reproduced and noted on service records. I am a 100% disabled veteran that requires a mobility scooter for mobility and appointments. The other issue is the vehicle will loose power anywhere and anytime and has to be towed in by aaa to the Infiniti dealership every time and they say the issue cannot be reproduced and I have gone thru their complaint system and they are in the process of sending technicians to finally look at the vehicle. I am afraid if this car because the last time it happened it almost killed me because it just lost power and brakes on an oklahoma interstate at around 70mph and had to coast to the right side service area to wait for aaa was almost rear ended twice in the process of getting to a safe area. My family and I are in danger anytime we drive this vehicle and have an extended Infiniti elite warranty thru manufacture. The vehicle in question is a 2015 Infiniti Qx60 and was purchased in 10/16/2019 with 24555 miles on it and have had problems with car since day one. Please please help we do not want to die. We have all recorded messages where Infiniti makes excuse after excuse after excuse to do anything about our safety.

Feb (sensors) display on our Infiniti qx 60 dashboard - this occurred within several months when we received the car. The car was inspected by their Infiniti repair dealer and was told the problem was solved. It was not and the same issue appeared after several miles of driving. Reported to consumer affairs at Infiniti and was informed its an Infiniti dealer issue. Further electronic defects occurred as I was not able to change gear from park to drive. Infiniti towed the car to their dealer and purportedly they corrected. The same issue continued and placed several more calls to Infiniti consumer affairs. Was told "we are sorry but we cant help you". Eventually brought this issue up to the highest level at Infiniti to jeremie. Papin@Nissan-USA. Com - head of Nissan north America. No action yet again - and was called by an assistant and thanked me for bringing it to his attention. Informed Infiniti via email to mr. Papin that it can be catastrphic at front sensors are defective and do not function. I have video's and written correspondence to Infiniti. I am available for a zoom call or can be contacted at (347) 407-2977. Respectfully yours, oleg shtaynberger brooklyn, NY.

While driving, the vehicle will sometimes think there’s an object (vehicle or something) close in front of me so the brakes will automatically engage, which slows down the vehicle. This is quite alarming as this has happened on several occasions, causing me to almost get hit from the rear. I previously took the vehicle in to report this problem but they couldn’t duplicate it so I was informed that there is no problem. However, just because they don’t know how to duplicate it, that doesn’t mean the problem doesn’t exist. I am concerned about my safety so this needs to be addressed ASAP. Also, for the date of incident, I will use the most recent date.

The vehicle on at least 4 occasions has stopped accelerating when driving the vehicle (first time I believe was fall 2021, this last time was spring 2022). Most of the times that the issue was noticed, the car was was moving at slower speeds (35 or less). The engine remained running but pressing on the gas pedal didn't make the vehicle increase it's speed. The first time it did this we took it to the dealership to inspect. They could not replicate the issue and they said that no error codes showed up. We left with no repairs or answers. It happened 2 more times after that. Each of those times we were able to stop the vehicle and get it to go again or it would start to respond to pushing on the gas pedal and would accelerate. The 4th time this happened I was in the middle of an intersection turning and it wouldn't accelerate. I was able to slowly roll into a gas station. I tried stopping and turning the vehicle off and on again to see if the problem would go away, however each time the car only slowly inched forward. I parked and then the vehicle started acting weird. The ac shut off and the steering wheel locked. There were three error lights that came on. The first said "fcw malfunction see owner's manual" and second was "iba off" and then the "! inside a triangle" appeared. These appeared only after stopping the vehicle for the last time right before it wouldn't start again. The vehicle was towed to the dealership. The error reading they got was c1601 and they believe the alternator needs to be replaced. This doesn't seem to line up with the issues we have been having nor the error warning lights that appeared. The last time this happened my child was in the car with me. Had we pulled out to turn and the car wouldn't go we could have very easily been hit by oncoming traffic. It is very troubling that the dealership doesn't seem to really know what is wrong with the car.
While driving home from work on the expressway, the Feb indicator came on even though there was no one in front of me for at least 1/4 mile. Then the bci indicator came on when there was no vehicle behind me. The braking system started to engage for no apparent reason. I previously owned a 2017 Qx60 and experienced the same issues. Infiniti could not correct the issue and I was granted a new vehicle under the lemon law. Unfortunately, my current Qx60 has too many miles to consider for the lemon law again.
I was driving on the freeway at about 1:40pm today(03/9/2021). All of sudden hear some kind of loud gun shot and 1 second later, my sunroof is shattered. Also, the forward collision system automatically breaks by itself when there is no vehicle or any kind of object.
Random loss of acceleration. Car wont move faster that 2mi/hr. When it occurs, I depress the gas pedal, the engine is silent put car into neutral or park and depress the gas pedal and the engine rev's as normal. This has happened several times and a few times while driving on busy highway and almost being hit from behind because vehicle eventually stops and won’t start back up. Brakes would also go to the floor which causes seat belt to snatch you back. My vehicle is unsafe and Infiniti consumer affairs won’t do anything about it. They only fixed the brake issue after a year and 1/2 of complaining about it a technician was pulling it in for ac repair and couldn’t stop. So they replaced all brakes and master cylinder and it still happens but less after brake job. Car will just stop accelerating on highway and so I pulled a carfax and discovered at 4900 miles cars computer had to be reprogrammed and transmission had to be serviced . It was sent to auction from the manufacturer not the dealership why? car is dangerous for my family and I and will eventually kill all of us that are in it when one of these issues happen at the wrong place and time. Please please help us. Vehicle only has around 62000 miles and I purchased vehicle when it only had around 24000 miles in 2019.
