1 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem of the 2005 Jaguar S-type

Failure Date: 11/16/2011

When I tried to start the vehicle, it would not start. There was a heavy fuel leak onto the ground, coming from underneath the vehicle. This occurred only when the ignition was turned on. I had the vehicle towed to the Jaguar dealer and repair shop. The repairman disconnected the fuel pump power, pushed the vehicle into the shop, raised the vehicle using the hoist and inspected the fuel line. He found the fuel line was completely disconnected at the coupler in the middle of the vehicle. The repairman stated there was no damage to the belly pan or the fuel line so he has no idea why this happened.

2 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem of the 2001 Jaguar S-type

Failure Date: 10/01/2009

The contact owns a 2001 Jaguar S-type. The contact stated that the ball joints were making a squeaking sound as if the lower ball joint was fractured. Fuel also began leaking since the seal on the fuel line was inoperable. He also smelled a strong fuel odor. Recalls (06e043000, 06e056000, & 00v359002) are related to the failure; however, the dealer and manufacturer confirmed that his VIN was not included. The failure was diagnosed by an independent mechanic. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current mileage was approximately 83,000. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

3 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem of the 2006 Jaguar S-type

Failure Date: 03/19/2009

I am investigating a fatal collision involving a vehicle fire of a 2006 Jaguar s type 4dr sedan. The fuel filter is located inside the left front fender well and is not protected by any frame component. The fuel shut off switch is located directly behind the left front wheel well. The victim vehicle was struck in an offset head on manner on the driver's (left side), directly impacting the area of the fuel filter. The fuel line was torn off of the filter, and it does not appear that the shut off switch actually worked, thereby pumping gasoline onto the front of the car as it slid across the road. The car was quickly engulfed in flames, and the driver who was pinned into the car died as a result of the fire. My case # is 09-88880.

4 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem of the 2003 Jaguar S-type

Failure Date: 07/15/2005

Vehicle was returned on (three different occasions) to dealer in two different states to correct grinding sound near front wheels between November 2003 and June 2005. Vehicle sprung a broken fuel line some time in late 2004. Vehicle rear brakes locked on freeway ramp July, 2005 two weeks after dealer had installed new rear brake pads. The vehicle has too many defects in various areas for a three year old. My fear is that there is more to surface and I will be holding a lemon in the very near future.
