After acclerating twice to avoid an accident. The car had a check enine light appear. No other warnings, not even high temperature. The car engine stopped and I pulled over off the highway. White smoke appearing under the hood. My mechanic does a pressure check and determines it is not repairable. He suggsts a new engine, my 2016 Jaguar Xfs at 70k miles needs the engine replaced.

I was driving at a high speed. 65 mph and went to accelerate to pass another vehicle and when I pushed the gas there was no power, the steering wheel locked up and I went off the side of the barley missing the ditch and then stopped. The I tried to restart it and the check engine light came of and after a couple attempts I had to have it towed to Jaguar of tacoma. My car is a 2024 with only 46000 miles on it. This shouldn’t be happening. I have to other vehicle to drive. I commute for work so I need a reliable car, which I did my research and thought this was one.

The dealer said that they fixed the recall, which is not true, because it came back so fast, it just unreal, the manufacture is one who should care about that, I was driving my kid to school wen the car started to shake badly, so I thought its kunda danger to my family !.

Car shutdown powers completely off in rush hour speed traffic and will not do anything cant get it in gear or anything do to faulty electric components and faulty fuel pump and its components this is completely a fatality waiting to happen for the car owners and the on coming traffic vehicles this is real bad this also made me and my wife anniversary day the worst ever we are scorn for life.

I took my car for the 35000 mile service and I am needing to replace the lower coolant outlet y pipe, which has been recalled on Jaguars the same year and manufacturing plant as mine. The part nu,nets are the same ones on the recall. Also the brake axle. ? which I think there may have been a recall. I do t know if you have had any other complaints on this matter, but I feel Jaguar should acknowledge it may have more cars that are defective and fix them.

The engine stopped working. The dealer said a new was required since the engine no longer had enough compression in one cylinder. The car had only 83,000 miles. In talking with other repair shops, they said this is a common feature in many 2015 Xfs.

My vehicle has about 68k miles, I have always serviced the vehicle properly. While driving the car my steering locked up and my vehicle lost all power on a busy road with my children in the car. Luckily we are safe but this is very dangerous. I have had the car inspected by several certified and insured mechanics and the engine pulley broke off of my engine block causing my entire engine and steering to shut down. Every mechanic says this is not normal and should not have happened at this mileage or without a huge impact and they all agree it is a safety hazard especially since the car gave no waring of engine needing to be serviced.

When you slow down, the vehicle cuts off completely. When you turn the car on, it's almost as if the gas is not traveling somewhere and causes it to take a while. Having it cut off on the highway is a very scary thing. I see recalls yet they're acting as if my vehicle is not affected by it.

Car started smelling like gas and garage had smell. Today 4/15/2021 noticed fuel dripping under the fuel tank area.

The vehcile was taken to Jaguar honolulu (888 kapiolani blvd, honolulu, hi 96813, (808) 592-5108) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel flange and gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated the failure was like the failure listed in NHTSA campaign number: 20v081000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 96,000.

I have a live that comes on that says restricted performances and it's so dangerous I was driving on the interstate and soon as that light restricted performance the car lost of power. . . It don't do any every time I pushed of the gas the car slowed down. The car only have 70,000 miles on it. Is this not a recall on that?.

Timing problems at 59950 miles.

Timing chain guides wear very easily make of weak or poor quality metal.

I took my car in for an alignment. After checking under the car, the mechanics realized that the coolant tubing was made of plastic and broke. They stated that if I drove the car, I would be in danger of the car smoking and maybe catching fire. I had to replace the coolant. I was informed the Jaguar has changed their engineering of this risk due to the number of complaints and repairs. I also have a 2012 Xf and it has the same issue within the same week which is costing me $2200 to replace. This is a serious issue if the coolant issues results is smoking an potential fire of the engine.

When my car was diagnosed it said that all 8 cylinders were misfiring. I was informed that it is almost impossible for all 8 cylinders to go out at the same time. I was informed that there was an emission recall on some Jaguar and my VIN number falls within that range. However the only recall that pops up for my car is the airbag one. Please look into it because my car is very un stable. The engine is knocking rocking back and forth cause my whole car to shake and rock. It looses power will cut off at random. Restricted performance light is on and car will not excelerate.

Turbocharger malfunction on vehicle at 35,000 miles.

Takata recall the transmission slips out of gear all the time. Now my shiftier is stuck in gear. The car will be still and it gets stuck. I've had this car for almost five years and towards the end it has given me hell. Transmission always failing while driving no matter on highway or street. There's also a lag when driving above 50mph.

My 2009 Jaguar has been in the shop for almost 1 year, I was told that it was the wire harness, however the wire harness was replaced under my extended warranty and the problem still exist. I purchased the 2009 Jaguar at car max in 2012, after about 3 months it was in for oil change and antifreeze was smelt, they put me in a rental and my car was returned after about 1 week. This was a third vehicle for my household so it was basically garage kept, after about 1 year( with following normal oil changes, my abs/ebs and other lights started coming on, it was taken to car max where the put me in a loaner car and kept my car for about 2-3 months, stating wire harness. . . Fast forward, the same lights came on again and again it went to the same mechanical shop on June 19,2018 and its still in the shop now! please hlep.

Timing chain noise the engine makes a loud timing chain noise which is leading to timing chain failure which can lead to fatalities.

1 - lower steering column had to be replaced 2 - catastrophic loss of engine coolant; two different pipes failed at same time causing immediate loss of coolant while vehicle is being driven down the highway; received low coolant level alert, pulled over, refilled coolant level, watched coolant level drain out.

The most recent incident occurred as I was pulling out of my garage. I turned the car on, rotated the shifter to "d" (I had backed into the garage), and as I depressed the accelerator the speed increased to a higher speed then the pressure I was using to accelerate. I depressed the brake as hard as I could to slow the car down and was able to turn the car off in the process by pressing the "start" button. When I restarted the car the car drove normally. This happened once before as I was slowly pulling in to my garage. The accelerator engaged but I was able to avoid driving through my house.

This happened for the first time on 09/04/2016. I was going in highway at 70mph the car suddenly stopped for 0. 5 second and turned on by itself. All the electrical system restarted at that time. I did not take it seriously at that time and it started to come again and this time it is in the local road where I was going at 30 mph. This time the car stopped and the steering is struck. I changed the car to park mode and started the car again. The same thing happened several times after that and the car started automatically. I have a new battery on the car and the key fob has new battery and the car started straightway. I don't see any other problems other than this. I took the take to a mechanic and they could not diagnose the issue and asked to take it to the Jaguar dealer. I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. Yesterday it happened again the highway and this time the car stopped. I managed to pull the car to the side lane and started the car again. This is very dangerous condition. Hence I'm reporting this.

Car suddenly stop accelerating in the middle of the freeway. I had to pull to the side wich was hard since power steering and everything was not working since engine seem to shut off. Ended up figuring out that it had ran out of fuel but gas gauge showed around 1/4 left and no fuel low warning ever showed.

The car employs a start/stop system to shut the engine when stopped. When it restarts the engine, the idle speed drops to about 400 rpm (half normal idle) and surges when it recovers. It has also stalled several times. I've asked the dealership to fix this, but when at the dealer, the system would not shut the engine so they have not verified the issue. The first safety issue happens if the driver is not expecting the surge resulting in sudden acceleration. Pulling out of a parking lot into oncoming traffic, car was driving fine then all of a sudden it snapped into restricted performance mode, slowed my car down to 15mph on a busy street, and almost got hit by other cars due to my sudden decline in speed. Took the car back to the dealership for assessment and their recommendation is to replace the engine for $32,000. 00. I bought the car for $26,000. 00 in January 2014 from galpin Honda in mission hills and I currently owe $24,000. 00 on it. I just don't see how this could be right.

I was accelerating away from traffic lights and the throttle jammed open. I had to switch into neutral to reduce the revs and bring the car under control.
