Two problems related to transmission not go into gear have been reported for the 1996 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated that while driving at any speed and without warning the vehicle will not shift gears causing a distraction to the consumer. Dealer notified. Ts.
Owner states while pulling on to highway vehicle will not change gears, owner notes that this is an intermittent problem. Vehicle only picksup to 40mph. Dealer cannot duplicate problem.
