2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2015

Tl - the contact owns a 1997 Jeep grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer to be serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 13v252000 (fuel system, gasoline , structure). After the vehicle being serviced, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. In addition, there was excessive smoke coming from the tire and rim on the front passenger side. The contact then smelled a burning odor. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the entire braking system failed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 141,501. Kc.

3 Service Brakes problem

The brakes made noise when applied and the vehicle experienced extended stopping distance.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/11/1997

3 different instances the brakes have not stopped the car in anticipated normal distance, during low speed traffic light stops or stop sign in local traffic.
