Rear Suspension problems of the 1998 Jeep Cherokee

Two problems related to rear suspension have been reported for the 1998 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 06/17/1998

At 11,029 front pads and rotors were replaced, sway-bar bushings were replaced, exhaust hanger was replaced, drivers seat squeeked (fixed under recall), and exterior door button broke. Now, at 27,098 rotors and pads need replaced again, transfer case and front differental input shaft leaked and repaired.

2 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 01/12/1998

When traveling 10mph in wet weather condition when making a right hand turn with foot depressed on the brake pedal, the rear of the vehicle fishtailed. Consumer has contacted the dealer , dealer states normal operation. Please provide any further details.
