Seven problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Without any warning my car stalls. Today it stalled in the middle of an intersection so I put my hazards on and still almost got hit also it took a good ten mins for my car to start back up nothing seem wrong with any of the parts everything was checked and it still stalls.
While driving the vehicle stall and would not restart.
The vehicle stalled and shut down without prior warning. Dealer was aware of the problem. Ts gear shift selector light was inoperative. Transmission shifted hard and slipped on acceleration. Found wrong fluid in transmission. Ignition cylinder loose. Dealer advised this was normal. Transmission banged when put in reverse.
Vehicle stalled at a stop light and would not restart, consumer left to call a towing service and when he came back there was a fire in the engine compartment, claim 25-5566-210.
While driving vehicle stalled out and died without warning. Dealer has replaced crank and cam sensor.
On two occasions vehicle stalled out while travelling on highway at 50 mph. Vehicle was inspected/repaired on two occasions, and problem still occurring.
