Five problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling about 65mph on highway without prior warning turned the vehicle right in order to straighten vehicle. When turning back towards the vehicle caused vehicle to flip six times. Dual airbags didn't deploy, and passenger side seat belt broke.
Rear seat belt will not secure child restraint.
Seat belts need extenders.
The front passenger seatbelt does not work without pulling at it for several minutes. Nlm.
Consumer was involved in an accident in which the vehicle flipped over, and the passenger's side rear occupant was ejected out the vehicle due to seat belt failure, killing the occupant of the seat. Insurance company still looking into the matter. Unsure if the vehicle was totaled. Please provide any further details.
