Two problems related to rear seat belt have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The rear drivers side seat belt will lock and not pull out this renders the belt useless. It does not matter if you pull easy or hard the belt will not pull out. In a day or two it will work fine. This has occurred 5 or 6 times in the last 12 months. With a 4 year old and a 6 year old in rear booster seats I find this very dangerous.
Rear seat belts do not allow for proper installation of child safety seat and are uncomfortable to passengers in the rear. Mjs.
