Three problems related to spare tire have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated that a firestone wilderness at tire 245 75r16 109 blew out while driving in a parking lot. The tire had a 6 inch gash from the rim all the way up. The tire was beyond repair. The mechanic replaced it with spare tire.
Spare tire mounted on wrong side for right hand drive vehicles(on left-should be right).
Vehicle is used a mail vehicle with right hand drive, the position of the spare tire is located in the left hand side in the rear causing obstruction of view. Mjs.
