One problem related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch has been reported for the 2002 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2 separate occasions, after a drive when putting car into park, the engine raced out of control in reverse. Luckily the brakes held it from speeding in reverse.
