One problem related to manual transmission floor shifter has been reported for the 2002 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer took the vehicle to dealer for routine maintenance. The mechanic noticed a problem with the transmission. The mechanic placed the vehicle on the diagnostic machine for further observation. The mechanic could not duplicate the problem. The consumer was experiencing more problems therefore returned the vehicle to the dealer. The consumer told the mechanic that a recall was performed on the vehicle to replace a secondary floor shifter. The consumer feels this recall may not have been done properly. At this time the problem still exist.
