Brake Disc Pads problems of the 2002 Jeep Cherokee

Three problems related to brake disc pads have been reported for the 2002 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2003

Tires had to be replaced, and when the technician changed the tires, there was rust tearing up the chrome on the brake pads. This was compared to salt, wearing down the chrome. It was a safety hazard, considering the vehilce was only two years old.

2 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2003

The consumer was driving the vehicle when the brakes began to pulsate when pumped. The vehicle was taken to the dealer the pads were replaced the pads and the rotors because of a seal leak. They also indicated that the brakes were not put on properly. The same problem exists again and they said that the rotors need to be replaced again. The manufacture has been contacted.

3 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2003

Nar 04/28/2003. Mr the consumer experienced problems with the front and rear brake rotors and pads had to be replaced.
