1 Storage Evaporative Emissions Canister problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2022

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the vehicle jerked and stalled. The vehicle was able to restart on several occasions; however, on one occasion the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the evap valve, evaporative emissions system leak detection pump, and the vapor canister seal needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that an unknown part in the evap and fueling system needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
