When driving then braking I/ we noticed that the Jeep had vibration and chattering ,shaking feeling at 65 mph on the highway. Then started to notice chatter and scrapping sound at lower speeds like 25-35 mph . So looking at the rotors I found the right rear to have (2) two grooves on it . So I took it to big o in sparks ,nv 89431 for a brake inspection and they showed me that the brake pads still had 65 to 70 percent left and that the rotors were crackedin several places. They had to replace both rotors and brake pads . I feel this is a defect in the product and should be investigated . If they came apart while driving someone could loose control and possiblly loose there life.
While operating this vehicle on a roadway the vehicle is making scraping noise as if it needed brake pads, and has hardly any braking abilities and does not waiver in intensity or braking ablity even with extra pressure to the brakes peddle. The braking system was checked at a service rep. Who advised the brake pads were fine, however the on board computer gave codes that the power steering computer software was interfearing with the braking software. Please advise what I need to do this is my youngest daughters daily vehicle.
Truck vibrate when applying brakes rotors and pads still good only 22000 miles.
