Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2015 Jeep Cherokee

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. While driving approximately 45 mph, the contact drove off the road to avoid an animal in the road. Both frontal side air bags deployed without warning or an impact. There were no injuries. A police report was filed. There was no body damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was awaiting diagnostic testing and repairs. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

My daughter wrecked on 4/11 and her Jeep rolled twice in which the front and side airbags didn't deploy. The roof smashed into her head rest resulting in a concussion, fractured hip, and torn hamstring. She was lifelighted.
