The contact rented a 2021 Jeep Cherokee latitude. The contact stated while driving approximately 70mph when the contact lost control of the vehicle and experienced a head on collision to the front end of the vehicle. While the contact was attempting to leave the vehicle post accident, the driver side interior door handle would not function and open the driver side door. Which resulted in the contact having to open the door via the exterior door handle. All airbags deployed minus driver side airbags. A police report was filed and the contact sought medical treatment and sustained a mild concussion, hematoma on legs and bruising on chest abdomen, and face. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was awaiting diagnosis. The manufacturer was not informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. The VIN number was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 mph, the rear hatch door erroneously opened causing the dog to fall out of the vehicle. While driving fuel gage fluctuates leaving the consumer with no knowledge of how much gas is in the gas tank. Also, the electrical locking mechanism for the doors malfunctioned. Upon using the automatic lock button, it will not lock unless consumer gets out of the vehicle, and uses the key. Also, consumer has to use the key to lock the tailgate. The consumer sited the recall for the fuelgage needed to fix the vehicle. The vehicle was not covered under the recall for the consumers vehicle.

Consumer stated that driver's side door was not working properly. Consumer could not lock door with a key or with the remote control. Also, same thing happened with passenger's side door. Mechanic told consumer that the design was changed on this vehicle which meant that everything was put together,and nothing was not working.

Door lock and screws fell out of door. Yh.
At 11,029 front pads and rotors were replaced, sway-bar bushings were replaced, exhaust hanger was replaced, drivers seat squeeked (fixed under recall), and exterior door button broke. Now, at 27,098 rotors and pads need replaced again, transfer case and front differental input shaft leaked and repaired.
Rear latch failed.
Passenager door does not open from the outside, dealer can't find a problem.
Passenger's door doesn't open, and alarm system goes on and off intermittently. Also, muffler system drags all the way down to floor. Dealership is aware of problem.
When unlocking the door with the key the door will unlock with the key turning to the unlocked position. But when lifting the handle, the door will not open. Repaired once and dealer cannot duplicate the problem.
Cpnsumer complained about a problem with the power locks on the doors.
