Tires show cracks in tread on all 4 tires. Appears to be dry rot cracking, this in 2 year old tires. Problem was first discovered when driver side front tire continued to loose air. Was advised by tire professionals that tires were not safe to use in highway driving conditions. Replaced the tires at my expense since continental will not warrant second owner of vehicle. Pictures are available if desired.

Lost steering control on Jeep Cherokee when hitting bumps at highway speeds. Front end had severe lateral oscillation with no damping; steering was very difficult. Had to slow vehicle to below 35 mph to regain control. Very hazardous on highways! inspection at repair shop determined one front tire had broken steel belt and other tire had partial belt shift. Tires were 2. 5 yrs old and had only 18 k miles. No evidence of road hazard damage was present. Replaced all tires on vehicle and problems were eliminated. Tires were super sport ap radials manufactured by goodyear. I understand these tires are no longer manufactured.

Primewell tires sold at firestone are advertised as all season. I bought these tires in Feb 2010. On Dec 26th 2010, we had a snowstorm in hampton area. I had to go out and found out the tires have absolutely no traction on snow. These tires are dangerous for winter conditions. I lost control of the vehicle several times. On the way home, I was going approximately 15mph when all four tires loss traction due to a 15 to 20 mph wind and ended up in a ditch. The next day I replaced the tires with kelly explorer tires and had no trouble negotiating the snow. These tires need to be pulled from the market or a warning given to consumers. They also lose traction on wet roads easily. As stated, they are advertised as " tires deliver all-season traction ".

Fisk classic radial p235/75ri5ms108s + s tire burst on vehicle in our driveway. The vehicle had not been driven for three weeks due to the purchase of a new vehicle. Thank god it did not happen while driven.
Needed tires rotated. Tech show me the side wall of all four tires with cracks and said I should replace them ASAP. Tires are big o big foot.
There are cracks along the inside and outside of the tires, which have developed and could cause the vehicle to have a blow out on the road. Manufacturer has been contacted and is aware of the problem.

This was a replacement for the recall tires. I have made two attempts with firestone corporate headquarters to resolve this problem. I have a letter discribing the problm of tread seperation and only asking for $330 need to replace tires. This was a tread speration at 65mph. Not a blow out. Can provide letter with facts of case with pictures upon request. Please help me resolve this matter. Thanks. (dot number: vnhl-4100 tiresize: p235/75r15).
Since we have owned this Jeep, we have experienced chronic problems with the front tire wheel balance and rotor system on the front end of this vehicle. The problem started shortly after we took ownership of in October, 2000 when the truck had 1743 miles. Brakes pulsated and it was determined that rotors were warped. First set up replacement rotors from dealership using Chrysler parts June 26, 2001. Problem occurred again December, 2001 when vehicle had 28,887 miles on it. Dealership offered to resurface rotors as they were warped. Refused to replace them even though they were defective and still under warrantee. Took vehicle to a third party mechanic and paid to have installed after market rotors to address pulsating brakes and issue that when pulsating brakes were applied on highway, vehicle pulled sharply to the left. Defective rotors - recall is necessary to prevent future serious injury to those operating vehicle with original rotors.

Tire failed while vehicle was being towed behind motor home. Air pressure had been checked that morning. Failure was complete tread separation from carcass. Goodyear said nothing could be done and it wasn't their fault. Failure resulted in damage to vehicle. (tiresize: p225/75r16)( dot number: tire size: p225/75r16 ).
Goodyear wrangler tires(215 75 r15)experienced excessive tire wear.
Wheels on her vehicle were makiing the truck stray into other lanes ,the tires were replaced by the dealer under warranty. *also, within 30000 miles front brakes rotors had to be replaced.
Tires had to be replaced, couldn't keep it aligned.
Vehicle has had an on going problem since the 4th day after I bought it, it has a vibration at 55-65 mph. The tires have been balanced countless times, the drive shaft has been replaced the transfercase has been lowered, the wheels have been replaced, the tires were replaced, the transfer case has been overhauled countless times in at dealer to repair and still has not been corrected. Additionally brakes pads and rotors were replaced for a pulsation, transfer case output seal was replaced for a leak, and little odds and ends. ( dot number: tire size: p225/75/15 ).
Tires will not stay balanced (goodyear wrangler rt/s 2257515).
Tires on vehicle are 225-75-r-15, and what was replaced with 245-70-15, giving a totally different profile to the vehicle. The tires shipped were the only ones they had, and nothing else could be done to remedy the problem.
In rain or snow the tires felt like they were ball eagles, GA #p22570r-15.
I purchased all 4 tires in March 1999. Only one is part of the recall, but the other 3 are showing cracks along the seam of the outer tread. Firestone dealer and the 800 number are refusing to replace/rebate the tires becase they are not part of the recall. I believe there is a problem with the other 3 tires and want them replaced. (tiresize: p235/75r15)( dot number: tire size: p235/75r15 ).

I purchased some firestone tires wilderness atiii size 30x9. 50r15lt for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee on 9/8/99. Since the day they were purchased, I've experienced problems with the tires. My truck drove differently. My tires gave a knocking sound and the best way I know to describe the problem, it seemed as though they were about to come aloose from my vechicle. I went to my local firestone dealer and they assured me the tires were "ok" each time I went. I visited a firestone dealer on 8/7/00 and he stated as a customer satisfaction gesture, he would allow me to trade my tires in and get some replacement tires. The tires were to be in on Thursday 8/10/00 and they would be mounted on my vechicle at that time. Firestone did a recall on 8/9/00 and when I contacted the dealer, he stated he could not replace my tires because they only had instructions to replace a certain tire and my tire was not on the list. I urged him to replace them as we had agreed and allow me to pay the difference but he refused (this was the original plan anyway). He then proceeded to hang up. I took my vechicle in on 8/7 and 8/8 so they could test drive the vechicle to see how the tires performed. Each time they assured me the tires were "ok". To date, I have not had any accidents from these tires. However, I urge your office to investigate the idea of firestone expanding this recall. I plan to purchase some more tires because I tired of fighting with this company about my complaints. I haven't been satisfied with these tires since they were purchased. I sent an e-mail to firestone on 8/8 and on 8/7 I contacted the consumer affairs dept and the receptionist did a 3-way conference call with the manager of my local firestone company on rodney parham rd. In little rock. His name was dave (?) and he told me to bring my truck in and he would do a replacement. After the recall was announced, he change his mind. I have not heard anything from the company, nor do I expect to. I do want this compliant logged. *.
The problem noticed was believed to be the brakes, and after many shop visits having new brakes put on with pads, and even a new set of tires, the defect in the front drivers wheel was still noticed with no explanation as to what it was.
Flooding water is entering driver's side of vehicle. Also, ice is forming on inside of windshield. Consumer has contacted dealer. All 4 goodyear wrangler tires with less than 13000 miles had to be replaced. Consumer states that the service manager will not return the calls concerning making an appointment to have vehicle fixed, dealer is requesting that consumer pay for all repairs, labor, and parts.
Consumer has had tires balanced several times and has had vehicle aligned several times, however vibration and shimmying occurs, consumer puts air in tires and after about 20 miles, vehicle will begin to vibrate.
