System failed was the throttle body, power (engine?) and brakes. I was unable to accelerate while going up a hill. When this happened the whole vehicle shut off which wouldn't allow me to push in the break pedal since I was still in drive. This could of caused us to be hit from the traffic following behind me. This put our lives at risk. Unknown, unsure what is being questioned as far as repeoducing a problem? it has failed my states safety inspection yesterday. I just purchased this vehicle a week ago. Warning lights were lightening bolt, abs light and traction control light.
I have been driving my vehicle for almost a year now it and it seems like the clutch pedal is binding, the pedal depresses when I'm driving but feels like it has some kind of resistance. I'm not sure if it may be an underlying issue or not but this is best how it can be described.
Speed control device not responding. Just purchased the vehicle!!! also I have been infomed from a diagnosed trouble code with the following code: p0700. Shifting problem. . Slipping ( free wheeling).
The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Compass. While driving approximately 2 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently and drove over a curb. As a result, the contact crashed into a pole. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained a minor injury from the seat belt, but did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,000.
The steering wheel is shaking after driving around 40 miles. Have had the car realigned and bought several new tired get this problem still occurs. The horn goes off in its own whether driving or stationary, and without anyone pressing on the horn. The check engine light stats on even after taken to be serviced. This has occurred for several months.
The transmission control module stopped working. After trying to turn the car on. It would only move in 1st gear and in reverse. It happened a second time less then 6 months later. The car shifted into drive and the entire car jerked and made a popping sound. And would again only work in 1st and reverse. The 3rd I was driving on the interstate. As I got on the off ramp the car beeped like it was out of gas and then about a second later the traction control light and oil temperature light came on and the car felt like some one had slammed on the brakes briefly. This caused me to pull slightly to the side when this happened. Luckily this happened on the off ramp and not the interstate traveling in traffic at 70mph where I fear it may have caused an accident with another driver or by myself as it cause me to pull to the side, no way of telling what would of happened. But I'm fearful. Chrysler has tried to fix this 2 times. This will be their 3rd attempt.
