Two problems related to brake disc pads have been reported for the 2011 Jeep Compass. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The read shoe brakes continuous noise in the brakes. Jeep paid for replacement of drums and pads. Only resolution by car dealership to go in reverse to remove the noise.
The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop until after several attempts. The failure occurred continuously when driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to three different authorized dealers who stated the front brake pads and rotors would need to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.
