general problems of the 2017 Jeep Compass

Let me start by saying I am an electrician. I have had several electrical problems with this car, most recently my headlights come on intermittently. I start my car and turn the headlight switch on, sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes for them to kick on. I have checked the batteries, the fuses, the grounding connections, and the switch. This is very dangerous, and I have already spent money trying to fix the problem to no avail. I travel a lot and it's frightening when it gets dark and I have to switch the headlights on while driving. I have no way of knowing if they are working while I'm on the road. I see several other people complaing of the same exact problem, why hasn't a recall been issued?.

Vehicle has been in the shop four times. All have been control module related. We lose all exterior lights. Vehicle will randomly shut off while in drive. Now we are having an issue with the vehicle not accelerating and is idling rough. All of these happened while the vehicle was in motion. This has been over a span of the past year.

The lights on my instrument cluster panel are not adjustable with the light adjustment wheel. When driving at night the instrument cluster is bright making it difficult to see out. (I just purchased the vehicle).

Purchased first defective vehicle on 9-29-17, received replacement on 10-7-17, discovered the dash lights would not dim at night. The dealership has been holding the car waiting for a solution from Chrysler ever since. They were scheduled to replace the defective module on 11-22-17 but issued the recall on 11-21-17. I still have not been given a repair date on a new vehicle that I have owned for 2 months and had at home but for 12 days.
