One problem related to hatchback/liftgate has been reported for the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Opened up the hatchback on the right attachment to the plastic door; and when opened the hatchback the door broke, causing the door to fall, almost injury\ing a child and the mother.
