1 Anti-theft Controller problem

Failure Date: 08/02/2011

I recently bought a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo and having done hours of research I am having the same problem as many other Jeep owners. My alarm is faulty and often does not start, I have not been able to use vehicle in over a week. I have tried everything Jeep told me to do to override alarm, it does not work. I also have a "quack" in my door locks. I suspect I will need a new acutuator. I don't understand how their is not a recall on any of these things, I have read literally hundreds of complaints about the anti-theft systems in these cars and it costs alot of time, money and frustration to fix. I will never buy another Jeep nor will I ever recommend a Jeep.

2 Anti-theft Controller problem

Failure Date: 09/06/2007

My security system intermittently locks me out of my vehicle. I have put at least 2000 into fixing it and still have a vehicle I cant drive and I still have to pay for it. No one knows why it is doing this. I am willing to have the system disabled but no one will tell me how to do that either. I am a single mom and cant afford to pay for a vehicle I cant drive. I have to get people to take me every where I go. This is causing severe hardship on me and my family.
