The casing holding the gas tank up in a safe manner has deteriated to a point that the fuel tank is now in danger of scraping the pavement while moving.
What is going with the recall. Had an appointment to take mine Jeep in in sept. When I got there they did not have the hitch to go on the bumper. I haven't heard from them. And I did not get my 100. 00 gift card. I did take it in for the inspection and the letter I got said I would get it then.
My vehical shuts down intermediately while driving and sometimes while turning it on and while sitting in a stationary postion at a light . I would like to have a recall because I know many people who have been in accidents and I wouold not like to be one them. . . I spent $3000 for a shop to look at it and still they do not know what is wrong with it. I do not want my family or myself to get into a crash because of faulty equipment. At the least I wouold like an explanation for why this is happening so I can get it fixed properly. But otherwise a recall for these vehicals would be rea suing to my family and I.
Seat became very hot started to smell like burning . Had to pullover till it cooled down. Seat quit working. The seats had previous repair under warranty. Around 2003-2004.
I was driving about 45 mph when my Jeep accelerated, I tried tapping the gas pedal in hopes that it would affect it. That didn't help, I had both feet on the brake, I pulled the e-break and it still wouldn't stop and I was redlining. I finally saw a redlight and decided to throw it in park and it rolled another 50 feet or so before finally coming to a stop. I jumped out and ran because it was still stuck and redlining. Everything under the Jeep was red and finally flames started coming out of the exaughst. The fire department hosed it down for about ten mintues before taking the keys out of the ignition.
I seen on the new the gas tank for a recall I would like my name put on a list of owners that have this Jeep so when recall comes out someone will have my name to send recall to. I m a fire fighter and see know how this needs to be a recall issue the thank sticks right out and the bumper is only plastic with really no supprt in front and min holdind strapes holld on.
1. I'll be driving and the Jeep would just cut off on it's own. 2. After driving for awhile the Jeep will take up to 15 minutes to start. 3. The driver side brake light keep blowing, I have to changed them change the bulb about every 3 days.
Want to place my name on list for possible recall. Feel very nervous driving a truck that can catch on fire from rear impact. Pray everyday!.
My '01 Grand Cherokee a/c and heater is uncontrollable. Fan comes on but no air from vents. This seems to be a defect that is not uncommon with this model. Several online sites show that this is not an isolated situation. 60 k miles and Jeep tells me that its out of warranty and they will not help.
A/c blend air door problem. High cost of repair.
Failure of the "dual climate control" dampener door. The dampener door control failed and I spent $700 to have it repaired with an updated part.
Heater/ac not working on our 2001 Grand Cherokee limited v8 blend doors/motors are not working. Throwing up codes 52,54,56.
Air only blows one speed only at constant speed when accelerating and cuts off when braking. The air only blows hot air and the temp can not be changed. The air/heat started to not work correctly on the passenger side first then reached the drivers side. There is loud creaking noises coming from the dash when the unit is turned on or when the car is cut off. It can even be heard outside of the vehicle.
I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I purchased new. Within the last month I have had two power window failures. This car is primarily driven by my wife and has only opened and closed the windows on occassions. This appears to be a defect in the power window mechanism.
While pulling trailer vehicle becomes unstable and is "pushed" by the trailer. This occurs any time vehicle is traveling over 40 mph and pulling the trailer. Dealership has examined vehicle, but could not remedy the problem. Please provide any additional information / attachments.
Consumer requested that factory running boards be installed in the vehicle for medical reasons, which were promised by the dealership at the time of purchase, however when consumer arrived to picked up the vehicle, the running boards had not been installed, but the dealer had installed what was called side steps, which were then installed incorrectly, consumer was informed that new holes would be drilled to make the side steps straight, when the vehicle was brought back out the side step were still crooked and it looked as though someone had taken a hammer and pounded on the edge to straighten it out, consumer was informed to take the vehicle home and she would be called when the running board came in, consumer was never contacted and when she finally spoke to someone, she was told that once the vehicle is driven off the lot, she has then accepted the terms and conditions of vehicle, conusmer states she still has not received the floor mats, cargo cover or the second ignition key that was promised in the contract.
