2 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2009

The failure of the blender motor has left our Jeep without a windshield defroster/defogger. It only blows cold air and does not clear leaving visibility at zero. It doesn't work at all and now it is dangerous for myself and family to drive in our "family car". Nothing has been done to correct the problem because the dealership said it would be an $800-$1500 repair not covered by extended warranty that we purchased.

3 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2008

My 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the hvac blend door problem. It blows nothing but cold air and I could not defrost or see out of the windshield while driving. I am sure this will result in death, injury, or property damage, as I do not have the $1500. 00 to repair and winter is here. A safety recall needs to be put into effect on these vehicles.

4 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2008

The contact owns a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When the contact started the vehicle, there was no heat coming from the vents located underneath the dashboard. The plastic vent doors are inoperable; therefore, cold air enters from the outside and freezes the windshield. The dealer stated that the repair would cost $1,800. The contact was informed that the failures were very common with his type of vehicle. In addition, snow and ice on the windshield will not melt due to the lack of heat coming from the vent underneath the dashboard. The failure mileage was 90,000. Updated 04-23-09 updated 04/30/09.

5 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 09/17/2008

The heat does not work to control the defrost. When there is no frost it is hard to see out of the windshield. People say the blend doors are bad in the ac/heater box.

6 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2008

I was driving on the highway and my drivers side window suddenly dropped into the door frame.

7 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 11/27/2007

The failure im having is with the blend doors, from personal experience driving in cold climates your defrost blows cold air onto the windshield making it extremely unsafe to drive the vehicle in cold climates, I was fortunate enough that I didn't wreck or hit anybody else on the road, in my honest opinion this is a serious safety issue, if you think it isn't a problem mr. Chrysler I will personal drive to corporate h. Q. And hand you the keys and see for yourself, better yet why don't you put your family in the vehicle and go for a ride, and then you be the judge if this is a safety issue . . . My guess is you probably will.
